’Multiple near collisions’ ‘Could have been fatal’… Yeah but it wasn’t thought was it?! Surely there’s more important news stories to take up all the news channels with! Right?

You are trying way too hard to believe a story that the rest of the world is laughing at.

I’m not trying to believe or disbelieve anything.

The taxi driver only had them in his car for a short time. There’s footage of the paparazzi taking photos close to the car so they were being harassed, it’s what paparazzi do. I know what my friends in NY think of the paparazzi and their only comments around this incident have been negatively aimed at the paparazzi, not Harry and Meghan. They’re not caught up in the love/hate thing for Harry and Meghan that some mumsnetters seem to be. I don’t know anyone IRL that is.

Is that your response your attitude suggests otherwise you can be anything you want on the internet.

I had a ‘white response’?

That’s just weird. And offensive. Because I’m not.

Cowparslee · 18/05/2023 11:09

Well, they may have a small band of dedicated defenders but the vote on this thread tells us all we need to know about what most people think of their antics!

Catsmere · 18/05/2023 09:37

You’d think so!

If it eben happened as their spokesperson claimed, the NYPD and the taxi-driver seem to think that recollections vary. Maybe a prelude to Fast and Furious H and M!

When his Aunt was in genuine danger, a gun pointed at her during a kidnap attempt her response was Not bloody likely, maybe he could learn from her!

AllIeveknewonlyou · 18/05/2023 11:17

It's a really muddled story. No-one was hurt however so it's been blown out of proportion.

DinkyDaffodil · 18/05/2023 11:18

Trying to replicate Diana's last minutes ?? if so - despicable behavior - from what I've seen MM no seatbelt in the taxi - plus Manhattan is so gridlocked - it's impossible to speed

No it doesn't for a start of we went by mumsnet ,we would have a Labour government and Brexit would never have happened😂
and secondly I see the same names popping up on all the H&M threads
I think the vast majority of people probably don't care enough either way

I don’t find mumsnet to be representative of real life on many things. I wouldn’t pretend to know how most people think based on a few posters on mumsnet. That seems stupid.

I personally hate the paparazzi for how they behave whether that’s to Harry and Meghan or any other celebrities. They’re intimidating and have no boundaries.

I agree re multiple poor decisions, but I guess that night she had enough and just wanted some privacy and fair enough. Sad it cost her life 😔

I'm sure that the Georges V in Paris could have provided them with all the privacy they needed, knowing that the Press were camped outside.

JuvenileEmu · 18/05/2023 11:23

I dunno @Humanbiology , you think other people are obsessed with them but you are the one who posted that you LOVE AND RESPECT HARRY AND MEGHAN. In capital letters, just so no-one underestimates quite how much you LOVE AND RESPECT HARRY AND MEGHAN.

Cowparslee · 18/05/2023 11:25

They seem the most unlikely pair to inspire such love and devotion (most people seem to find them irritating, at best)

Hate to disappoint you but in this case it is definitely representative because their approval rating among the UK public is 23% (Meghan) and 29% (Harry) and they have 27% support here. Pretty much spot on, I'd say!

Cowparslee doesn't speak for everyone. She speaks for most people. About 73%, I think you'll find.

As you say, it's history. Not now. I hope they don't delete it. It shows who you are.

You have no idea of mine , or anyone's history on this site!

Most people on this particular thread not most people, hilarious that you think a mumsnet thread on H&M is representative to What most people think ,given there a some very vocal anti H&M posters that seek out every H&M thread .
