To think that all smoking AND vaping should be illegal in public

I'm sick of having to breathe in others' vape clouds when out and about. It's worse than fag smoke in some ways- partly because the clouds of vape fumes are so big but also because it's less well policed than smoking, presumably because it's still considered relatively harmless until they find evidence to the contrary. Today I've had to walk through vape clouds on a railway platform (manned station, staff completely couldn't care less), actually had a person sitting behind me on the train vaping and I had to walk through vape clouds of Tesco staff vaping directly outside the public entrance to the shop.
Why is it legal to inflict this poison on others?

AIBU to think that it should be limited to private homes, private vehicles and enclosed public designated smoking sheds only.

Also - how is it legal to vape and drive - surely your visibility is affected?

@OldBun58 my next door neighbours smoke weed and I can smell it through the walls in our terraced house. It annoys me that their dirty habit could be damaging my children's and my health

Until the government is willing to ban it outright, stop selling nicotine products, people have to right to smoke in public.

People have been smoking for centuries.

IMO humans who haven't learned relaxation constantly fidget, using their hands, either to smoke or eat or chew nails mindlessly, eventually creating a bad habit that leads to addiction.

It suits the people in business that people are addicted to fags, vapinv and fast food.

The governments missed or consciously missed out on the opportunity to monitor the marketing around vaping..

Mixing haribo with nicotine was always aimed at attracting youngsters.

They're heavily taxed on ireland so they'll never be banned.

Let's make eating in public illegal too (outside designated eateries - I mean on trains, etc)
And noisy children
And their parents who cannot/will not control them
And people who change their child's nappy in public
And drunk people in public
