so, did your phone receive the alert? If it was turned on and enabled?

not very good coverage here at all - unless it comes later...

YABU - my phone got the alert

YANBU - my phone was switched on and enabled, but received no alert

I've just discovered why.
Needs to be running android 11 or later. Mine is 10. I can't find emergency alerts anywhere on my phone to check if on or off. So I googled, and discovered this. Makes sense now.

Mine did - Plusnet.

I heard on the news that quite a lot of phones on the Three network didn't work, and by all accounts Three doesn't work very well round here.

All 4 phones went off exactly 3pm as instructed.

We were in a shopping centre - the whole shopping centre went off!

Cant' understand all these people saying nothing happened.

Well, lots of people didn't get it, although their phones were set up to receive it. Many of us seem to have been on the three network.

Checked my emergency alert history and there was nothing in that.

I'm on Android 13 and didn't get the alert, so it's probably a multitude of issues.

I did. DH didn't. One adult DC did, the other didn't. Both their partners did. 2 neighbours I asked didn't. One other did. According to Twitter, there's a mix of people who did get it, and people who didn't.

DH is irrationally pissed off and annoyed that he didn't get it, and I did. 😆

We live deep in the sticks, so a lack of signal was nowt to do with it. Plus, some people in my village got it anyway! (Including me!)

I'm with Smarty which uses the 3 network so it's clearly a 3 issue preventing some people from getting the alert from all the other posts I've read.

I’m on smarty and got it at 14:59 🤷‍♀️

Phone was enabled.

I have an older phone, think I did'nt recieve the alert because my phone is about 6.5 years.old!

My new phone received the alert but my old phone did not. I must admit that I forgot all about it and I jumped.

They were testing it. If it didn't work for everyone im sure they will be looking in to it. That's the point of a test after all isn't it?

Got the message, vibrations and sound - phone was on silent. Was exactly at 3pm- am on O2. Rest of the family got it - we were all in different places.

Yep, 3 phones here, different makes, various ages and all on different networks, all went off at 14:59.

DH had message and sound at 2.59, no vibration.
