Shower - AM or PM ?

Just posting for traffic.

When do you prefer to shower? In the morning or in the evening? And around what time do you shower?

YABU - Morning when I wake up
YANBU - Evening before I go to bed

Well said. The irony of posting a comment like this is lost on people because their own habits sound so odd, even unhygienic.x

Both if I've been to work, often just morning if not.

Both usually. Full shower and hair in the morning before work. Evening just a quick one with a shower cap to freshen up as it helps me sleep

I do both. Morning after the loo then evening before dinner. Generally just a quick one though, couple of minutes unless I'm washing my hair.

I couldn't imagine going to work without a shower.
I usually shower when I come home from work & shower again when I get up in the morning.

And the smell of dirty hair is gross - yet people can't smell it from themselves. I have two acquaintances who pride themselves on only having to wash their hair every four days - yet actually by day 2 or 3, you can smell the staleness, the dry shampoo (which almost always has an unpleasant smell), and their hair and face look greasier than normal.

I think you need to stop invading people's personal space. I'm sure there are loads of people who go 2 or more days without washing their hair and I can't say I've ever noticed the smell of someone else's hair.

Stop putting people down to try and make yourself seem superior.

Some hair can't be washed every day. Mine smells fine, I'm not nose blind!
It would be absolutely destroyed if I washed it daily or every other day

although, I hate having "smelly" hair if i've been cooking, so I end up with 2 showers a dae (and v dry skin).

It has to be the very first thing I do when I get up. I'm a sweaty sleeper and I can't stand the sticky bollocked feeling if I don't shower.

During the week I shower in the evenings, because I am so tired in the morning but if DH and I have had sex then I'll shower in the morning too which happens most of the time. I really think it's gross to go about your day or night after sex without washing. Weekends I shower in the morning and bath in the evening.

This. I like a shower to freshen up in the morning, but hate getting into a clean bed all grimy from the day.

There's a hell of a lot of washing going on thank god water isn't a finite resource.....

I'm peri-menopausal, and sweat in bed. I don't sweat much during the day.

I would feel utterly gross if I went out in the morning without showering first.

Always morning. DS15 showers morning and evening.

I only baths to ease achy joints. I shower afterwards.

Morning usually. I don’t see the point of washing in the evening then sweating through the night or whatever and just kind of staying that way until the evening again. Morning makes me feel fresher somehow.

I'm older (71) and have one bath a week usually and wash in the sink with a washcloth the rest of the time. Is that shocking?

Both - evening to get some action, morning to wash the sweat off and start the day fresh.

If DP isn't around then usually just morning unless I have been exercising during the day.

If im working from home - evening as I take the dog out to the beach every day before work so prioritise coffee over showering when I get back as it's just me offending myself for the day.
Working in office (means a hotel stay as office is in London and im not) - morning and evening
Weekend - morning and if ive been out all day - evening as well.

Office and weekend days I always use product in my hair so I wash it daily. If im just wfh with no hair product in then I wash it every other day.

This is the only correct answer. I don’t understand how people can go to bed without having a shower or bath first.
