Charles is the only Royal I like because he actually cares about green issues. I hope he will have some influence as head of state. So I will be watching because of his green credentials.

Well he talks the talks and then jets around and has big cars. Pope Francis, that I have a lot of time for lives in a small flat not the Papal Palace and uses a small car wherever possible. Charles could follow his lead but chooses not to.

Why do you think your post is going to infuriate a lot of people? I think the overwhelming reaction is disinterest. But if you feel that strongly about it, you could always take a stand and go into work on Monday.

I think it’s sad that nobody cares anymore.
I remember how excited we all were in 1977 for the Silver Jubilee and the celebrations. What a contrast with today’s atmosphere.

Well @Anycolouryoulike , you could give vack a days annual leave in lieu of the BH day you don't want. That way, you'd also be able to tell your colleagues your thoughts on the Coronation

I think a lot of people are excited and looking forward to the Coronation. I've been off work but they had a special coronation day today with bunting and fun & games etc. The people moaning about it are just perpetual moaners, if it wasn't the Coronation they'd find something else to moan about.

Or do you think paedophiles only come from Leeds because you've read aboutvthem in a UK paper.
And perhaps if you knew history, you would know about the wealth of the catholic church
