For going out the front of a premiere inn, in my plad pjs ! Am I really ?! There was no1 around, I put a long cardigan over the top of them!

OP posts:
betterlucknexttimefingerscrossed · 07/04/2023 07:37

I saw the same thing yesterday. Yes I did judge. I'm not sure why. It just seemed a bit pathetic. Hadn't really thought about it until reading this but you seem really nice so now I feel bad for judging them.

TomHanksIsFuckingAmazing · 07/04/2023 07:38

OP don't worry about it, I'd rather be friends with you than most of the others on here. Anyone would think you were hanging outside naked with a crack pipe.

Crumpetdisappointment · 07/04/2023 07:38

i would have just vaped out of the window

JackSheepskin · 07/04/2023 07:40

I’d be embarrassed if DH did that. Harry Potter pjs for an adult would be bad enough - but vaping outside in them at 6:30am, it’s just so skanky.

RampantIvy · 07/04/2023 07:40

I will be staying in a Premier Inn for the next three nights. If I wake up early I will look out for pyjamas clad vapers Grin

On a more serious note I admit I would think "blimey, she must be really desperate to need to get up so early to have a vape"

The windows only open an inch.

TomHanksIsFuckingAmazing · 07/04/2023 07:41

I regularly pop to the local newsagents in my pyjama top with a coat thrown on so nobody can tell. My coat cost £210 though. Is that a pass on Mumsnet?!

CarpetSlipper · 07/04/2023 07:42

Surprised by all the judgement and PJ hatred. I’ve never smoked or vaped but if I saw you, I wouldn’t consider it unusual behaviour for someone who did and I certainly wouldn’t be offended by pyjamas.

No.

Also, £210 isn’t incredibly expensive for a well made coat, is it?

RampantIvy · 07/04/2023 07:47

£210 is expensive to me.

user1492757084 · 07/04/2023 07:48

Not ridiculous ... but desperate,

Like the people who congregate around the back door of an office or hospital to have their lunch time fag.

sybil40 · 07/04/2023 07:51

Plaid and Harry Potter? That sounds a design disaster!

MarieRoseMarie · 07/04/2023 07:51

RampantIvy · 07/04/2023 07:47

Really?

For a coat so expensive it’s worth bragging about? Even SHEIN coats are about £50. I’m pretty sure they’re selling coats in New Look etc for £100+.

Somebodiesmother · 07/04/2023 07:35

Mumsnet thinks still being in your pj's three seconds after opening your eyes makes you a common slattern.

It’s funny because I always got the opposite impression from Mumsnet, maybe not on this particular thread but others, that absolutely everyone was living in their pyjamas and not answering the door! 😄😆

Yes, going outside in pyjamas is just ridiculous and makes you look v lazy
Plad?

suzyscat · 07/04/2023 07:54

I wouldn't judge but I'd probably bump into you there. Grin

NQOTDarling · 07/04/2023 07:55

pjclown · 07/04/2023 06:57

Nipping out for a vape, 6.30am nobody around. And yeah I didn't put fresh pjs on to go outside lol

You aren't covering yourself in glory here...

NQOTDarling · 07/04/2023 07:56

pjclown · 07/04/2023 07:03

Oh no it was a very much you're an embarrassment type thing - which is quite unusual for him to be that way actually !
And I mean checked, is this the same as plad? Not old and holey, actually Harry Potter ones 🤣

it's plaid

Divisionoflabour89 · 07/04/2023 07:57

I personally wouldn’t leave a hotel room unless fully clothed but neither would I notice or give any thought to, let alone judge, anyone else who did differently.

NQOTDarling · 07/04/2023 07:58

ThankmelaterOkay · 07/04/2023 07:06

He’s BU. Presume he also vapes?

I applaud people like you, the more middle aged vapers the better, and at 6:30am outside a travel lodge. Maybe some teens on their way back from a night out would have seen this - not so cool anymore is it!

If the middle aged can destroy vaping for teenagers like they destroyed Facebook, then I am all for this kind of behaviour.

Hadn't considered this as an advert for antisocial behaviour!
Thank you, made me laugh!!

HiImTheProblemItsMe · 07/04/2023 08:00

I wouldn't judge. If I was staying at a Premier Inn, I'd probably be seen up and about in my pjs at 6.30am retrieving toys/snacks from the car for my children. Who'd probably be trailing after my whinging. And we would ALL be in Harry Potter pjs! I'd wave hello OP 🤣

Fatkittythinkitty · 07/04/2023 08:00

My only thought would be 'bloody hell she's up early'.

I mean, it's a premiere inn. I don't know why people are clutching their pearls about it not being 'classy'. You're not stood outside the ritz are you?

NQOTDarling · 07/04/2023 08:00

pictoosh · 07/04/2023 07:11

He sounds a bit uptight. Is he?

no, he sound like he is embarrassed that his wife would do that
Don't blame him
