For going out the front of a premiere inn, in my plad pjs ! Am I really ?! There was no1 around, I put a long cardigan over the top of them!

Honestly, anyone vaping in their 20s/30s is either trying to be cool, or doesn’t care they aren’t cool. Pick one - the result is the same.

I don't vape and no judgement here OP. I do have childish pjs though and would have no issue with getting something out the car outside a premier inn at 6.30 in the morning in them.
I'm aghast at the judgement on this thread, particularly those who think it's better to vape in a hotel room (?!) and who are judging hospital patients for not getting dressed to go outside for a fag/breath of air. They're in hospital!

Using ‘plaid’ as a synonym for ‘checked’ is an Americanism that has crept into our language. I cringe when my daughter uses it.

I think that either going out of a hotel in pjs or vaping at 0630 is really quite tacky and rough. Together it’s full Waynetta. I would not even go to a hotel reception in pjs other than in a true emergency. This is all pretty snobby judgement on my part and I am ok to admit that.

Yes I think it was more dh caring what people thought - he's never gave a shit about other peoples opinions before ! So I cared that he thought I was being ridiculous I suppose.

But as it were, 6am, premiere inn off a motorway, nobody around - I was fine imo !

Vapes are just awful. Thank the lord i stopped smoking before they were introduced or I'd probably have a vape addiction now - swopping one for the other.

I presume you are a long way from home OP- one of the delights of this is that you can do what you want (within reason) as you will likely never see those people again. So do what you wish.

I will say though that this anecdote totally blows holes in the argument that vaping is ‘totally safe and not addictive’. They are the new cigarettes.

Where did you hear that vaping wasn’t addictive? It worries me that this is a message people are getting. Vaping was designed as nicotine replacement for people trying to give up smoking, so obviously addictive.

OP I’m sort of with your husband on this - it’s not a good look. But you’re not alone. There’s always a fog of smoke and vape fumes at the entrance of Premier Inns, with some people wearing pyjamas and some not.

Yeah, last time I stayed in a hotel two women stood outside under my window in their PJs vaping/smoking. I just judged that they were 'common as muck' and shut the window- nobody with any class would be vaping in their PJs and a long cardigan outside a premier inn.

I think people are up tight anyway. I love wearing my joggers in the day and I don't care.
