They headlined with the shooter being a woman yesterday.

Today of course we learn the shooter is transgender.

They would have known this yesterday.

Have a look on Twitter. Lots of other stuff openly posted online in support of what she did.

From the pp’s twitter link I can see victim blaming and perpetrator sympathy. Clearly these are both very wrong but where is the ‘open celebration’ and being ‘upset that more weren’t killed.

And don’t try to argue that this person isn’t trans. By the principle of self id people are who they say they are.

And that was just one. There is far more of this out there.

People talk about 4Chan and QAnon as a breeding ground for Alt Right violence. But some of the the trans sub reddits are the most openly violent, misogynistic places on the internet.

But that is fine, apparently.

The grieving families and community of Nashville deserve better than others arguing about gender and pronouns , some of the comments I’ve read on this thread beggar belief !

So hide the thread then. Last time i looked we were allowed to speak about a whole range of subjects, and that includes how the media report crimes and the sex and/or gender identities of the perpetrators.

As for discussing mass shootings and killings - we're allowed to discuss those too. Sad, tragic, devastating as these events are, they crop up with such alarming regularity that it would be daft if people didn't.

But we HAVE to talk about it if we have a situation which involves institutional capture and political power which is actively saying nothing but 'trans is untouchable and not subject to safeguarding'.

THAT'S part of the problem - poor handling by the authorities because there isn't freedom to explore the causes without prejudice because of adherence to ideological purity.

She was 28, she didn't have to live with her parents she could go live her best life.

Her parents and the parents of her victims are allowed their own world view as was she.

I don't think America can continue as they are, they will likely have a national divorce.

They have one side that wants guns, no abortion, no woke ideology.

I don't think either wants to tolerate the other anymore, like a couple they have contempt for each other.

Shows how confusing it is - and the double standards in the press. They would not have dared identify a man who identified as woman under his biological sex, nor dead named him. Lots of people have been confused OP and there is a bit of interview footage of the police and reporter clearly talking across purposes over the sex/gender of the shooter.

That quote was from one of my posts, and it wasn’t intended as victim blaming. It was one of the possible motives the police were looking at for the shooting, as she was a former student at the school and it was mentioned in the manifesto they found.

PSA: the murderer was a woman. She murdered 6 people including 3 children. Who knows whether she was on testosterone. Who knows whether her mental health problems were ignored in favour of affirmation.
But she was a woman. An adult human female. One of the bad ones- we do have them among us. But still a woman.

I saw the Independent using fucking he/him pronouns but still calling her Audrey rather than her other name.

We need accuracy in everything.
