Au contraire - just get ChatGPT to do it.

Seem familiar ?

I think I might suggest ChatGPT to my MP, that way one might get a reply that was more related to what one asks than whatever nonsense the useless representative of Riyadh and Moscow normally spouts.

Trust me, they already know.

How do you feel about Richard Sharp then?

I certainly think nominative determinism takes a day off once in a while.

James Cleverly.

James Cleverly.

Would be a good thing.

You’re complaining because he breached his contract? How odd.

He hasn’t breached his contract. Only political and news reporters are required to be impartial.

Or for refusing to broadcast the final episode of Attenborough's series on British Wildlife becuase it highlifhts the destruction of the environment by the tory party.....

I wasn't aware of that, I'll add to my complaint.

Which I just tried to submit but failed as there 'was a problem submitting your complaint please try again later'. Well that's one way to stop complaints...has anyone else had this issue? I assume because (I hope) they're inundated.

Well at least when I do try again later I'll have the opportunity to add in the Attenborough point.

Luggage is quite obviously a lawyer specialising in entertainment industry contracts and has gone through it with a legal toothcomb before reaching that conclusion.

It is a subscription service. Want to watch the BBC? Pay the licence fee. Don’t want to watch the BBC or the aligned broadcast services? Don’t pay. How is that not an optional subscription service?

It's not an optional subscription service as such. Even if you don't want to watch any BBC you still need the license to watch ANY live tV.

Want to watch ITV? Sorry, you had etc pay for TV license aka BBC.

And I've seen a few comments (not here)condemning GL for comparing the Tories to the Nazis. But the is not what he tweeted. He tweeted the language was not dissimilar to 1930s Germany. Totally different.

The BBC have been Tories suck-ups for too long.

And on another note. Why hasn't the BBC DH been asked to 'step back' while he's being investigated? Oh forgot, he's the Tory's boy.

BBCs DG not DH Grin

LadyWithLapdog · 11/03/2023 10:36

Thanks, OP. I’ve sent one in about FB and one about GL. Will send about the Tory boss too, just trying to word it succinctly. For all the good this does.

I think it is worth doing. If there are complaints in big numbers that sends a message to the Tories that they don't speak for the British public on refugees. Which is what they keep saying.

LadyWithLapdog · 11/03/2023 10:41

@IClaudine let’s hope they get a wake-up call but I think that, sadly, they’re too far gone for that.

Why not be part of the future ?

Oh dear, I'm supposed to be working. Oh hang on, this is work.

Hopefully this is the death knell for football on the BBC

LadyWithLapdog · 11/03/2023 10:46

It’s not really about football @User1396390

You can't pay for just a month though like you can the other subscriptions, if you could it would be OK, I object to paying for a whole year or losing money if I don't.

Are you hoping for the death knell for everything else that's hugely popular on the BBC too? Soaps, drama, Call the Midwife, Ant and Dec? Would you like it to just show programmes you like and forget the millions who like other programmes?

There's a reason GL was the highest paid presenter on BBC - he expertly presented a popular programme.

The BBC and presenters should be impartial. That’s what we’re paying for.

In what way was he not impartial in his role as a BBC presenter?

He hasn't said anything on air in that role?

Trivial. Wait till you ask it to setup some SSL monitoring. A days worth of work in a minute.

However my point remains. As it approaches what we call intelligence, it has to be able to lie. Something to remember when you read of how much the UK says it wants to spend on AI.

"Brazil" wasn't a fantasy, it was an entirely possible future. Mr. Buttle.

It should be the same as all the other subscription TV I pay for and a choice to subscribe for as little or as much as you want, F1 is like that, Tennis is mainly on Prime, Boxing is often ppv. If I want to watch a series on Netflix I just pay for the month, with BBC if you don't pay for a year you can't watch any live TV on any channel.

itsgettingweird · 11/03/2023 10:56

Snowsurprised · 11/03/2023 08:54

The BBC and presenters should be impartial. That’s what we’re paying for.

Then let's see you complain about the fact they allow Alan Sugar to run a programme then.
