A simple thing that fills you with such happiness.. lighthearted

Mine is the work that the lady who comes to clean my house for two hours per week does, and to walk in to my home every Wednesday and smell the bleach and see the place sparkling is my happiest feeling.

I am a single full time working mother to three kids who to certain degrees are ND.

The joy and peace that paying that lady £25 gives me , is worth every single penny.

Watching my team score a winning goal, in the ground with my friends. We’ve been going to the footy together for nearly 30 years. A goal is such a moment of pure joy

Coffee. At home. In bed or on the sofa. Such a blissful 15 minutes

A walk on the beach then home to a cuppa with a slice of bread, butter and jam

Lying on the sofa under a nice, thick, warm blanket in a very clean house with my favorite candle burning whilst watching you-tube videos.

All of the above.... very noticeable that it is mostly free or affordable pleasures that give the most joy.
I'll add walking by the sea with my favourite podcast then sitting and watching the boats...

A jam doughnut and a cup of tea

Chilling in bed on Saturday morning with a cup of coffee and a book or podcast for a couple of hours. It’s the only lie-in I get all week.

Also getting into bed early and reading until I fall asleep and not having to worry about anything.

Omg I have so many.......feeding the garden birds and watching them for 20min every morning as I have my toast and coffee before work. Its like a little moment of peace before the day really begins. The robin is my favourite. I've named him Robert and he follows me around the garden when I'm out doing bits and pieces. Also watching the birds enjoy the bird bath. I put fresh water in every day and have a large stone in the middle for the smaller birds to perch on I also break the ice all the time.

A hot steamy bath with Epsom salts and a teaspoon of coconut oil.

Reading my book or a magazine on the couch wearing my oodie.

Listening to a podcast while I drive

The sound of my little dog snoring in his bed next to mine.

A funny WhatsApp or message from my daughter at Uni.

A hug from my younger DD who was very troubled a few years ago but seems to have grown into herself.

A nice cup of tea.

There is something wonderfully reassuring about the sound of a dog snoring.

My foster son (3years) is severely globally delayed and is blind. Push button toys are his joy. His favourite toy ran out of batteries and he was heartbroken. I changed the batteries and the smiles and giggles were out of this world. He's amazing 🥰

Singing. We’ve joined a Community Choir (bit like Rock Choir but cheaper more inclusive). The joy we get out of it is life changing.

Elasticated waists.

Nothing better than getting into a pair if comfy old PJ bottoms.

Growing my own vegetables and cannabis in the summer.

Having pierced ears.
Having an early evening with a book.

Sitting in the garden on a clear, starry summer night, just looking up at the sky in peace.

Greggs sausage rolls.

Starting a new craft project.

A hug from my son or hubby

The smell of my dog's ears.

Hot bath, good book, fresh flowers, nice fruit.

My dogs , they just make me smile and feel loved

Fresh bedding AND the fact that my whole family has accepted that I always get to be the first person on/in the bed when fresh bedding goes on..

I love the turning of the seasons. The blossoms when spring is here, the heat of summer arriving, autumn leaves and colours everywhere, the smell of cold air during winter.

Good loose-leaf tea in a nice cup.
New yarn for a new knitting project.
Sitting in the living room knitting early on a weekend morning before anyone else is up.
Listening to teenage dd and ds' banter and being happy they get on so well.
