Would you feel unloved if your partner wasn't jealous? Is it a red flag or?

Donnashair · 01/03/2023 22:06

So you want your partner to feel a negative emotion and damaging emotion.

To prove they care?

That suggests you are the red flag.

GCAcademic · 01/03/2023 22:06

No, I’d just think I was in a healthy relationship with a grown-up.

Hbh17 · 01/03/2023 22:06

Why would anyone want their partner to be jealous? It's a horrible characteristic.

Blablablanamechangagain · 01/03/2023 22:07

A red flag? NOT being jealous?
No....
Unless you're fucking someone else infront of him and he's just sat watching the footy...

GCAcademic · 01/03/2023 22:07

And, yes, I agree with pp. It’s the person who wants their partner to be jealous that is a red flag.

Seaweasel · 01/03/2023 22:08

No. It is the opposite of a red flag. A green flag?

Tittyfilarious81 · 01/03/2023 22:08

Nope , my husband has never been jealous even when we were teens it's a negative insecure emotion to have

momtoboys · 01/03/2023 22:08

I have been married for 25 years. My husband doesn't have one jealous bone in his body.

Yulelogs · 01/03/2023 22:08

Jealous of what exactly?

DinaofCloud9 · 01/03/2023 22:08

Surely it's a good thing?

RoseBucket · 01/03/2023 22:08

At the risk of sounding patronising are you quite young?

Lack of jealousy I would say suggests there is a good degree of trust and respect.

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/03/2023 22:09

Huh? What’s good about jealousy?

Swiftswatch · 01/03/2023 22:09

You sound like the red flag.

FakeBilly · 01/03/2023 22:09

Jealous of what exactly? I find some of the ‘jealousy’ considered normal on here completely and depressingly mad — stuff like posters requiring opposite-sex friends of their partners be ‘retired’ as soon as they enter a relationship, or that going to the cinema with an opposite sex friend is ‘date territory’.

JackieDaws · 01/03/2023 22:10

Grow up and accept you've got a good relationship that should be drama free.

This.

muddlingthrou · 01/03/2023 22:11

The greenest of green flags. Lack of jealousy shows emotional maturity.

I am 30.

You're the red flag, not your partner. Jealousy is a really ugly trait.

I feel like it's lack of care...

Are you talking about this possessive jealous trait that men have in things like 50 shades ?

Hostofgoldendaffodils · 01/03/2023 22:15

There's a right jealousy and a wrong jealousy. If you're married to him and having an affair, he should rightly be jealous because legally you are pledged to one another and breaking your vow to him. If you've not made any commitment to each other and yet he's jealous of your interest in other men or vice versa, he has no right to be jealous.

Why on earth would you want your partner to feel jealous.
