Would you wear this out to a restaurant? Wearing nothing underneath but nipple covers and thong?

just to be clear…this is an open all day brunch/lunch then tapas burgers kinda place. family friendly, kids menu crayons ect. Not an evening or drinks venue.

I was completely taken a back as to why anyone would think it’s appropriate to wear that to a kid friendly restaurant

couldn’t find a link to the actual dress but it’s very similar to this Kylie Jenner one.

AIBU here?!

detail missing incase it’s outing!

I wouldn't wear a dress that appears to have holes in the knees!

I couldn't care less what anyone else wears though. So, it's family friendly. No child is going to be hurt by being it.

Namechange828492 · 24/02/2023 20:04

No clearly it's not appropriate. Good for hightlighting who is an awful attentiin grabbing bore though

This type of dress is not about fashion, it’s about attracting attention from guys and beating off the competition.

<Boak> - that's a very unpleasant image!

No, it's a bit much. But ... you were at a restaurant, so maybe it's your kids that shouldn't have been there? This is the problem when you want to take kids to adult settings and then adults have to adjust their behaviour because kids are around

There's been plenty of competition but this wins the craziest post on the thread.

Just screams look at me
think the best I could manage would be an eye roll

🤣
thanks for posting this…

Sheer clothes and underwear styles clearly ARE in fashion and it’s an odd mentality about beating off the competition. Somewhere like Nando attracts a diverse crowd, including couples on a date.

I have seen a woman dressed similarly at a lunchtime venue about 20 years ago and everyone carried on their own business. Kids happily colouring and I could only hear conversation on my table as it was very busy and noisy.

Why do we all sniff and roll our eyes when we say ‘attention-seeking’? What’s intrinsically wrong with seeking attention?

be seeking attention there’s a world of difference between walking in a room and shouting to get attention
and turning up at a kids party in a see thro dress with tits and fanny barely covered

JMSA · 26/02/2023 19:16

Definitely not!

So nothing intrinsically wrong with it. It's contextual.

Thank you.

I look forward to a context cropping up on MN where everyone is delighted by attention-seeking.
