Good morning. I am an idiot.

I have a godson whose mother is lovely but very religious and a bit uptight. It’s his 9th birthday today. Long story short I placed an Amazon order to be delivered to their house, and he’s just opened it and it turns out that alongside the nice gifts I sent him, I accidentally included something else that was in my basket….

His dad (my friend) has just rung me howling with laughter, but the wife is apparently not at all amused.

I know AIBU but this is a public service announcement to double check your basket when you’re sending things to someone else.

Jesus.

This has really made me laugh 😃 Thanks for that OP .X

WoofWoofBeachLife · 22/02/2023 12:48

Ooofft no kisses lol that's bad 🤣 I love this and I'm ordering too. Suits our sense of humour. You're the best Godmother 😆

allotta · 22/02/2023 12:50

... Is "wanker" really that bad of a word?

Trinity65 · 22/02/2023 12:51

Proper made me howl too OP 😆😂😂

Tis a woefully underused word these days. Along with Wazzock.

PuttingDownRoots · 22/02/2023 12:55

OP I'm extremely disappointed in you.

Why couldn't you have done this 10 days ago so I could have got DH one for his birthday?!?

The mum of my other godson would have found it hilarious and had it framed on his wall by now.

Save it for Christmas and get him the whole set!! There are many options to choose from:

My DS bought my other DS these (with chocolate) - we all thought they were funny!

😆 Reminds me of this!

It could have been so much worse. She just needs to have quickly hidden it and replaces it with something else. If she had a sense of humour she would have ferretted it away until he is 14ish.
Yes! That would be a very cool mum thing to do!!!

REP22 · 22/02/2023 13:24

I could murder a Double F*cker just now. 😉

Perhaps as a Christmas gift for her you could snip out and frame the (sadly, it seems, these days) almost inevitable Daily Mail article about this. That will give her much yuletide cheer, I'm sure, hehe

Verite1 · 22/02/2023 13:33

Hi OP - just to warn you, this has now been picked up by the mirror!

Heartsandbirds · 22/02/2023 13:40

TBH @Mañanarama it sounds like you’re going to be exactly what your godson needs as he grows up. Don’t quit - he’ll need some light relief!

Killingmytime · 22/02/2023 13:42

That’s brilliant!
my godson’s family would have framed it!!

WhichBitchIsWhich · 22/02/2023 13:52

I thought it was going to be something much worse!!

I follow a business that make clothing on FB and they once posted a pic of these Grin Maybe your friend would like some underwear to match?!?

Good response. I think your response was good. If she presses more, the choice is if a) a delivery note was included (are they anymore I can’t remember), you were looking for wonka bars and perhaps added to basket without noticing - easy to do on touch screen or b) if not, packing error.

GoodChat · 22/02/2023 13:56

Tell her it was a treat for her.

Inastatus · 22/02/2023 13:57

😂😂😂

Rinkydinkydoodle · 22/02/2023 14:00

when you apologise to his mum, be sure to say ‘god I’m so glad it wasn’t the huge chocolate cock.’

WedonttalkaboutMaureen · 22/02/2023 14:01

I instantly assumed it would be a vibrator before I saw your picture. It could have been so so much worse, she should be grateful really. Grin

You could reply "at least it wasn't DH's new cock ring haha" and wait for her to spontaneously combust.

ladygindiva · 22/02/2023 14:01

Haha that's brilliant. Reminds me of when my lovely late nana accidentally bought an erotic novel for my 12yo dd; she'd got confused in the bookshop and thought it was part of the twilight series😂

WedonttalkaboutMaureen · 22/02/2023 14:01

Great minds @Rinkydinkydoodle Grin

Split the difference! Chocolate cock ring! I am thinking Kinder are missing an opportunity here.
