Boris Johnson wants a 2nd bash at being PM. We wouldn't. Would we?

Today BJ is stirring up the DUP to oppose Sunak's N Ireland proposals, whatever they may be. Surely there can't be a second chance for the idiot responsible for our current mess? There aren't enough stupid people in our country to let him in again I hope. Will he unseat Sunak?

i don’t think it’s an easy win for the Tories

but Labour could stand a better chance of winning a solid majority if Sunak stays as leader and more importantly Starmer changes his stance

I hope not but lots of people think he did a great job some of them have been complaining about current PM not being British didn't even realise Boris was not born in UK either.

The current PM was born in the U.K.. There’s no “either” about it.

jgw1 · 19/02/2023 14:26

I suggest you visit the feminism and gender boards if you want to get a feel for how important knowing what a woman is, every day without fail there is new thread all about how Starmer doesn't know what a woman is. Boris does know, he is a true believer in knowing what a woman is, so is utterly electable.

I’m a GC feminist to my core and I don’t want to see Boris. He might understand biological reality but he also manages to be - fittingly - a massive cunt.

🤣 that was what a Boris fan told me when complaining about Rishi never bother looking it up. Thanks for correcting me.

SunshineOceanAndOranges · 19/02/2023 14:49

He became a driving force in the disastrous referendum campaign out of sheer opportunitistic hubris. He 'got' his beloved brexit 'done' and doing so has landed all of us in it. Frankly he -and Truss!- should make themselves scarce. The cheek to even think about making a come-back!!

MeMyCatsAndMyBooks · 19/02/2023 14:51

No. Give another party a go.

MyGrandmaLizzie · 19/02/2023 14:52

Is that you Nadine?
Boris knows how to treat a woman......well he certainly knows how to get women pregnant.

SunshineOceanAndOranges · 19/02/2023 14:55

As an aside, it's a misconception to think California is liberal everywhere. Outside of LA and SF there are very conservative counties there too... US politics is at least as much a complex mess as ours!

Careful where you say that, you could cause a massive pile on.

Exactly, he knows what a woman is, knows what they are for - to further his lusts and so he has my vote.

Endlesssummer2022 · 19/02/2023 15:01

He should not be able to become PM again, however, I’ve lost my faith in many voters, so would not be surprised if he’s back again unfortunately.

There are many cultural issues in England around going weak at the knees for posh accents. Many will bow, scrape and doff their caps regardless of whether it means they and this kids go hungry.

Nadine, put the bottle down.

Hooklander · 19/02/2023 15:06

He can fuck off and take his ludicrous puppet Penny Mordaunt with him. She spends her duplicitous and undistinguished political life trying to position herself for 'top jobs' - but she is just another incoherent gender-woo nutjob with diminishing credibility.

Johnson will need more than people like her making placatory noises if he's to mount a comeback. Fnaar fnaar.

That was serious advise on the F and G boards you say something bad about Boris and you have to watch out.
I mean its good value entertainment, but be careful folks.

One thing I think we can be certain off that Boris is very good at fucking and then leaving.

Yawn at the sneery strawmanning. Have you ever managed to actually articulate an opinion of your own rather than smugly misrepresenting other people? It’s a shame that Labour activists still haven’t managed to work out that sneering at large parts of the population hasn’t worked out well when it comes to convincing people to vote for them.

TheGuv1982 · 19/02/2023 15:15

There’s a reason a lot of Tory MPs are standing down at the next election, they know they’re fucked - despite some of the very bot like responses here trying to paint a different picture. The polling suggests that the next GE will be an absolute landslide, and there’s very few leavers to pull to try and change the economic picture before then.

my assumption is that Boris will give Dorries a Damehood which will free up her rather safe seat. He can spend the period before the next election hoovering up cash from after dinner speeches, and then look to make a comeback as LOTO.

For the avoidance of doubt I am not a Labour activist. I must thank you @GCAcademic for demonstrating the point I was making.

You would like an opinion, based as it is on evidence. Boris has done far more harm to women and this country generally than Starmer will ever do.

saoirse31 · 19/02/2023 15:18

U voted for Brexit, which is not good for you, you voted for Boris, again not good for you, proroguing parliament anyone? I would be not at all surprised if you voted for Boris again , and that is possibly the saddest opinion I've ever had about the UK. Populism gone mad.

Amazing. Thank you. That’s the first time I’ve seen you post in your own voice. You should try it more often. It tends to lead to better faith discussion.

I can’t believe there are people who think Boris Johnson has more gravitas than Keir Starmer, and is less of an embarrassment on the world stage. Give your head a wobble, what are you on about? Confused

Neither can I.

Without Boris the war in Ukraine would not be won and we would all be speaking Russian now.

Also but Jeremy Corbyn.
