Today BJ is stirring up the DUP to oppose Sunak's N Ireland proposals, whatever they may be. Surely there can't be a second chance for the idiot responsible for our current mess? There aren't enough stupid people in our country to let him in again I hope. Will he unseat Sunak?

@Clavinova Looked at the links Sunak's wife & her family have with the Kremlin, the companies they operate in Russia yet? or their links to Modi and his support of Russia's war in Ukraine?

And other polls (I prefer Politico) would show about 46 to 25 in Labour

I prefer Opinium 44% to 28% and I thought Starmer looked like a rabbit caught in a headlight in those interview links I posted yesterday - he's not that good is he? Will he improve in time for a televised election campaign?

Starmer does interviews? The guy is very misguided does he not know that the best leaders go into fridges instead of being interviewed.

Oh if we are playing look at Sunak and who he is associated with.
Why did he appointed a former Mubarak minister to be Tory party treasurer?

And btw you just have to look
at food supply issues as an example. People are just pissed off with that. They will not give much of an eff about the relitigation of Brexit by the ERG. That is the kind of matter that people of real privilege can afford to care about. Johnson won because he promised a better quality of life after Brexit. He would not win by saying "let's think about the principles of sovereignty while there are no salads in Sainsburys". I am being flippant but that is not a vote winner and it is tone deaf to the economics that affect the voters the Tories want to keep.

@Clavinova do you also like Opinium's finding that Starmer has a net approval rating of O?

What has this to do with the desirability or not of Johnson returning to lead the Tory party?

I wasn't replying to you.

It doesn't mean I can't ask the question.

I love how ‘only’ a 19 point lead has become a source of optimism for you guys. How times have changed, eh?

two of them broke the law while in high office

Somewhat ironic then, that the chair of the Privileges Committee leading the inquiry into Boris Johnson has more police fines than Johnson and Sunak put together (also while she was in high office) - the Rt Hon Harriet Harman MP (Labour) has at least three driving convictions:

No - that's not ironic.

I take it you are comfortable having a minister from a dictatorship having a position high up in a Uk political party?

Well, the former Egyptian minister has British citizenship and Tony Blair said his boss was 'immensely courageous and a force for good' so I guess it's fine with me.

@Clavinova any particular reason you misquoted me? Is your cutnpaste not working this evening?

I wrote "I take it you are comfortable having a minister from a dictatorship havimg bought a position high up in a Uk political party?"

Apparently he is the chairman of a family conglomerate with 60,000 employees - I would think he has a good enough skill set to get the job on merit.

And who really cares what Anneliese Dodds has to say anyway (your link) - she always seems to be complaining about something. NB she was sacked as shadow chancellor by Starmer.

I had no idea he had that many wives and children.

He managed to find a distant cousin to give him a loan, there could be a lot of 'Johnsons' about

I wonder if Boris is trying to populate a whole constituency with his offspring in the hope they will be daft enough to keep voting for him.
