I have always felt that resorting to emotional insults and childishly accusing people of “hating” you is a sure sign that you have no rational, adult arguments to support your position.
Hence the transactivists reliance on “No debate”, followed by rape and death threats and incitements to “throat punch a terf”.

It is I who am not allowed my voice. I respect the views of my children, but I also expect the same in return. I am worried that young people today do not allow others to differ in their opinions. This is extremely dangerous. I hope, Timesawastin' that you allow others to disagree with you?

I think everyone has a right to live their life free from hate. I don't feel personally threatened by the existence of trans people. I think the vitriol by the extremists on both sides does more harm than good and my experience is that almost everyone I've encountered in RL falls into a live and let live middle ground.

Well, quite. But the OP didn’t raise these men and doesn’t share a home with them. I was responding to her suggestion that she had somehow been silenced by her own children.

I think the point has been missed here. We are in a situation of people, including family members, being cancelled for expressing their views. I totally accept my children's views, whether I agree with them or not. I am not transphobic. I do, however, feel that conversations have to be had about trans gender and female safe spaces. However my children, and my daughter in particular, has, I feel, been radicalised to such an extend that I am fearful to disagree with her because she becomes overwrought and may decide to cancel myself and my husband.

Let's move on to something even worse and more sinister from Vera.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Vera say in the most recent episode "what's HE doing making a discrimination complaint?" about a white policeman.
White people can't be the victims of racism - only non-whites, so only white people can be guilty of racism? Really?

So @WomanStanleyWoman2 do you believe women should be locked up with violent male rapists, and when those rapists are released, that they should share hostels, changing rooms and toilets with women. As you believe transwomen are women if they say so (because there is no other way they can be a woman), that is what you are supporting. Either self ID is valid, therefore everyone who says they are a woman is a woman, and IB should be in female prison, or TW are not women and belong in male spaces? What is your opinion?

3. Do you have the right to give consent for other women as to what they feel comfortable with esp in areas such as rape advisory services, medical services, toilets, changing rooms etc
4. if you believe that transwomen are women how do you solve issues arising out of 3 above.
5. what are you views on the way trans gender issues have been dealt with in relation to children?

it’s not difficult. Copping out with just be kind, let people live how they want just doesn’t work because it affects many women on multiple levels, from feeling safe to policy.

It's not a cop out. Literally no one I know in RL gives a shiny shite about any of this stuff and certainly not to the degree posters here do. Trans people aren't put to get you or take your rights away, they just want to crack on with their lives same as you. Its the extremists on both sides who are creating the issues.
