Just watching tonight's Vera. Obviously men should be allowed in womens' hostels. Daren't make a comment out loud as the teenagers have swallowed woke hook line and sinker.

Just read all the posts and there are a lot of comments about a Trans character and people saying they are never watching Vera again ?
What happened ?

The transwoman was male like all transwoman are so should not be in a space for females as that would make it a unisex space

I can’t watch “Vera”. She’s such an angry unhinged woman yelling at everyone and complaining that I can’t watch it. She appears completely unstable and unprofessional.

Funnily enough, people always know what a woman is, when they want to dismiss us.

It added nothing to the story and was a distracting annoyance.

Vera wouldn't have been as accepting as she was shown to be. She would have dealt with many rapists in her time and would value safe spaces for women.

Are your teenagers male or female (in the truest sense). I ask because my two sons have zero interest in woke and haven’t been brainwashed by it all (including my son at Uni). I wonder sometimes if it’s teenage girls who are more likely to fall for it (even though it’s most detrimental to them). When my son was at senior school he said it was the girls in his class who were going woke, not the boys.

Well a positive is that this issue is spreading into other topics as women become more aware and less intimidated.

I thought Vera was being sarcastic when she said "no place for a lass". She had to get answers so it was favourable for her to go along with it.

Had conversations with mine about it and I'm not unduly worried. My youngest DS (26) is gay and has a lot of drag queen friends and even he finds issues with the whole woke thing at times. It certainly isn't all as cut and dried as the media and other sources have us believe.

DD is still in education and the views there are also shifting. There was a year or so where the whole "flag" issue was important but now the girls have all moved on it seems to the next thing, as teenagers do.

Yes my dd said the same. So depressing, when it is the girls who are losing out.

It’s frustrating that such a hugely complex issue is dealt with in such a simplistic manner. No one would say a trans victim of domestic violence should be put into a vulnerable situation. There is an epidemic of violence against women carried out by men and those women fortunate enough to get help in refuges have complex needs and benefit from all female spaces. Even hearing a male voice could be traumatic for them. But let’s talk about a hypothetical trans victim instead of tens of thousands of women. I don’t get it.

My advice would be don’t walk on eggshells. In fact I’d be crushing those egg shells with hob nail boots on!

They seem both to be under mind control, a boy, gay, and a girl. Usually sensible, both intelligent and articulate, now completely brainwashed vehemently anti JKR. My main concern is that I have tried to bring them up to be open minded, argue their cases from facts and respect other people and their opinions, even if they disagree. Now I seem to have two extremely articulate Woke nazis on my hands😓
