Urgh calm down it’s just a name? ….well no I’m not actually my old neighbour's of nearly a decade where Italian and the mum in her then 60’s was call Bambi, And her partner Cosimo Where are you getting your information from exactly?

Why assume that people get there information from “baby name sites”

Chickychoccyegg · 01/02/2023 08:29

Turns out it's not quite as unusual as they may have thought, there seems to be a good few bambis out there...who knew 🙂

Tessisme · 01/02/2023 08:35

I reckon most kids grow into their names. Some will end up changing them if they hate them or use a middle name. I would never have called a daughter Bambi myself and went for very traditional names for my sons, which would be called 'boring' on here. Do I give a shit? Nah. Each to their own.

Wibblewibble1 · 01/02/2023 08:36

It’s awful. Really awful.

dayswithaY · 01/02/2023 08:39

This baby has been born to two rich, successful and famous parents. No one needs to feel sorry for Bambi just because her name is a bit “out there”. She’ll have a very nice life.

OneFrenchEgg · 01/02/2023 08:42

I only met a few people with kids when I lived in Italy but they were always referred to as bimbo/a or bimbolino/a never Bambi as a short nickname. I never met an adult Bambi there but obviously I didn't meet every Italian Grin

Phlegmmy · 01/02/2023 08:42

What can you say, can’t fix stupid.

The name Bambi makes me think of poor Sheila Bamber/Caffell.

A name is not any less stupid because rich people use it. Why the double standard?

NashvilleQueen · 01/02/2023 08:45

I thought it was going to be a lot worse tbh

WrendaleCountryDogs · 01/02/2023 08:49

Bambi is a boy!

sanityisamyth · 01/02/2023 08:54

I know a Tinkerbell. She's not Bell, or Bella for short though ... she's Tink ...

The name is not ‘objectively stupid’ though.
It’s a name. Some people like it, some people don’t.
The level of obsessive spiteful posting you are doing over a baby’s name is quite strange! Move on with your life.

Ignored the other reply then 😂

FuckabethFuckor · 01/02/2023 09:02

I don’t hate it, it’s quite sweet.

I used to work with a Bambi. She was vair posh.

Who decides if a name is stupid? It’s just opinion.

Lots of posters saying “poor child” just because of her name. There would have been lots of babies born on the same day as Bambi who will have very challenging lives.

Just being landed with an unusual name in itself doesn’t warrant sympathy.

Babsexxx · 01/02/2023 09:07

THIS lol never seen someone get so het up to voice there opinion on a name with literally fuck all to do with them 😂.

BCxx · 01/02/2023 09:10

I’m not keen and I like unusual names. I just can’t not picture a deer, also sounds a bit like bambino or something so makes you think of a baby but that child has the name for life

YourVagesty · 01/02/2023 09:13

The name I can deal with.

The upmarket dentist's waiting room aesthetic for the nursery though... That I can't get on board with.

Lollyloup · 01/02/2023 09:21

To be honest I think everyone loves to be like WTF about a name, yet they call their kids "Ace" and "Jaxon" or "Thea-Harper" like is it that much worse than any of them?

Also isn't it pretty standard that celebs call their kids unusual names, it's probably not something to feel annoyed by!

Madness LOL

WimbyAce · 01/02/2023 09:55

Name aside though, have you seen the frigging nursery?

4thonthe4th · 01/02/2023 10:13

Inyournightgarden · 01/02/2023 07:37

its a tacky council estate name, sorry if that offends but it absolutely is, give it a year or two and there’ll be Bambi’s on every council estate in the country, oh deer

You must have DC in a state school.

LaLuz7 · 01/02/2023 10:25

This right there is why countries such as Iceland have a name registry you can choose from and if you want to give your baby a name that's not on there you need to get it formally pre-approved. They won't accept any names that might cause embarrassment to the child.

I think they've got the right idea.

If you’re so certain you’re right, why are choosing to ignore my previous response to you where I gave 2 examples of 2 perfectly normal names (including one you actually attempted to use to prove your point) used to bully and embarrass the children?

Why do you keep harping out the same bullshit that an unusual name means you’re more likely to get bullied or be embarrassed?

Surprised you haven’t started a thread of your own for Bambi yet or did the last one not go the way you wanted?
