New mum in the mums group, seems a bit up her own bum about designer labels and clothes etc. She’s often a bit sneery and definitely does that withering looking you up and down type of thing.
Her, m her Dh and kids, live with her parents in a big house, she dives their spare Land-rover car and they pay her dc’s school fees.
Aibu to think she’s got a bit of a nerve to act high and mighty when none of it is her money and the rest of us earn money to pay our own mortgages, bills and cars and therefore maybe don’t own a Gucci belt 🙈😅

You and her have different values.She prioritises fancy things and loves with her parents to make those things a priority. Life would be boring if we were all the same.

I'd find it annoying if someone like that was making a song and dance about their designer labels, so would probably nod, smile, move to talk to people who care about more than silly status symbols, and not give her much more thought.

How do you known the parents aren't living in her house or they didn't pool resources to buy jointly?

This is all just your perception. I have never met a snob. That's because I don't judge people as snobs.

It’s odd how frequently a Gucci belt turns up as a signifier of conspicuous and usually undeserved wealth on here. Sometimes also seen on benefit bashing threads, along with expensive cars and foreign holidays. I had no idea that Gucci belts had such currency and significance, culturally speaking.

I think posting on here to judge other people for “flashing the cash” is probably even more common
