I hope the poor child is able to change their name themselves when old enough if they’re having to endure a lifetime of people being horrified by their name and their own parents find it amusing. What a way to make your child’s life easier. I wonder what the point of the thread was - OP didn’t come on here to ask if it was unreasonable to enjoy people’s reactions. Oh no, certainly not in the circles we move in. We only use 'Marm' when addressing the Queen when we used to attend her Gin and Bingo Evenings at her big house in London.

It’s almost certainly awful, the child will hate it and end up calling itself by a nickname anyway.
