To wonder where Margot Robbie's internal organs are.... see Vanity Fair cover

This is not an intention to body shame - but I find the cover shot of Margot Robbie on Vanity Fair quite shocking. And unnecessary 😥
I have been just as thin, and was classed as underweight and diagnosed with an eating disorder.
I hope I'm not the only one who wonders what the next level for stars might be, if this is an aspirational "look". And for us regular humans.

@LoveMyPiano in my opinion it will set you off again. You seem that type. There is also an incredibly fat man in it. I mean like breathtakingly fat. He's naked too but he's so fat you can't see his winkle. In fact he's so fat I wondered whether his arms were long enough to reach round and wipe his own arse without assistance.

But I never once wondered where his internal organs were. I just assumed they'd be there in the usual place with a generous cladding of visceral fat.

But like I said, I wouldn't watch it if I were you.

LoveMyPiano · 16/01/2023 19:16

I don't know what you mean by "set off", or "seem that type".

I watched The Whale, and I'm not posting on here about Brendan Fraser.
He also is NOT on a magazine cover in all "his" 600lb glory, appearing to celebrate being outsized.

Strange comment, there are lots of morbidly obese ‘models’ too? Tess Munster? Shall we throw a photo of her into the mix for good measure, and ask a man what he thinks because a male view is oh so important when it comes to analysing women’s bodies?

workiskillingme · 16/01/2023 19:38

@Dowhahdiddy nobody cares if you are in better shape than some 17 year olds and how you'd 'never let yourself get like that' (dripping with condescension and spite like most of your other comments on here) you need to work on your obnoxious personality

Eyerollcentral · 16/01/2023 19:39

@workiskillingme its a serious public health matter that so many young people are so overweight.

Yes but this poster doesn't give a crap about the health of the nation let's be honest they are all about being nasty and personal to other posters

There you go again. You seem terribly interested in looking at other people's bodies and wondering whether they should be on the front of Vanity Fair or not. Have you asked your male triathlete friend's opinion on Brendan Fraser's physique?

I care, and another poster has also agreed with me. So it’s you who doesn’t care, you can’t speak for everyone. My comment wasn’t aimed personally at you, even if it did hit home with you 😉

workiskillingme · 16/01/2023 20:47

It doesn't matter who it's aimed at you only post to be personal to others . It just negates any point you think you may have

workiskillingme · 16/01/2023 20:50

Just as it's possible for people to be too large to be healthy it's also possible for people to be too thin to be healthy. Whether the woman in question is we have no idea- you can't see someone's bmi by looking at them. It's also possible to have such a discussion without
A) sneering
B) accusing others of jealously
C) body shaming anyone large or small

its possible but it’s much less likely isn’t it, whether someone is too fat or too thin.

workiskillingme · 16/01/2023 22:27

Well yes you are more likely to suffer health problems if an extreme of weight

milkyaqua · 16/01/2023 23:01

Margot looking lovely at a recent film premiere:

normal human body

LoveMyPiano · 16/01/2023 23:17

Again, note that I was NOT body-shaming.

This picture does not show any ribs, but the arms are a giveaway I would say.

Yes it is. I'm astonished people still can't admit this. It's self evident.

MR was on Graham Norton last night. She looked lovely.

Missing the point but they describe her as wearing 'minimal make up' she looks stunning but she sure isn't wearing minimal make up

Newsflash AGAIN OP. We are all different. Different sized arms, different length legs, different sized boobs, collar bones/ribs that show, collar bones/ribs that are neatly hidden. If someone told me I look anorexic with my similar arms to the woman on that photo I'd have to be extremely rude back.

Ha, that could be me. I hate my arms but someone did once tell me I had lovely elbows! 🤣

A giveaway to what?

No idea what you’re on about? What’s wrong with the arms in the picture?

Lentilweaver · 17/01/2023 16:14

Baffling thread. Margot is all over the news at the moment because of Babylon- I wasn't even looking- and in all the pictures she looks absolutely fine.

ComfortablyDazed · 17/01/2023 17:36

Please enlighten us as to what the arms are a give away for, OP.

Someone who is too thin, and probably has an eating disorder.

And anyone who thinks that - and the prominent ribs (whether photoshopped or posed specifically to show them that way) on the VF cover - has as much a distorted view of what is or is not healthy, as I - apparently - do 😶

What’s wrong with those arms? They’re slightly chubbier than mine but certainly not fat. I don’t get your point?
