My daughter can’t wait for it to come out. She’s never usually interested in PS games, but she’s counting the days down on this one.

She went through a phase of saying JK Rowling was transphobic, because her friends at school were telling her she was. But we looked at the tweets and articles that TRAs claim are transphobic and she changed her mind.

Not for me but the JK and trans is so over the top, what it is said she said and what she actually said are two different things.

Asking the MN posters who pop up with 'JKR is transphobic', what has she actually said that's transphobic, is one of my favourite games.

In fairness, isn't that similar to the process some men do to try and make themselves women?

As someone who is trans (ftm) I can't wait to get this! Harry Potter was my childhood, it helped me through so much childhood trauma and also the first film me and my OH went to see together at the cinema.
I'm really struggling to see the issue other trans people have with JK. I looked up what was said and aside from stating facts and speaking up about the safety of women and children, I can't see where she was supposedly transphobic?
It's taken me a long time to get to where I am but why should one person's rights trump the safety of anyone else?
This may be my circus but these are definitely NOT my monkeys.

When this all kicked off I was horrified. But then I actually read JK's tweets etc and discussed then with a very close friend who is currently on their transition from male to female.
Believe me when I say we have discussed this and many other things to do with their transition.
That said I had an extremely abusive childhood and there are a lot of relatable things within the HP books that resonates with me and also my friend. Because of that abuse I found solace in the books, films, merchandise and my friend understood that and can also relate.
I try to stay away from the arguments regarding this as I have found no matter the innocence of your actions you can still be jumped on by others trying to score points.
I should also add that at a recent reunion I asked my Art Professor from school his opinion and he replied "In history you will find many examples of Art whereby the artist is unpopular, however their art is still valued and adored the world over."

Ugh I was reading an article about this the other day which tried to show all the ways she's been transphobic, and it's just ridiculous. They literally show what she has written are bleat transphobia, when that isn't what she's done or said. And all this bollocks about how "problematic" stuff is due to antisemitism is just such reaching to find some sort of argument to fit the narrative of how evil she is.
