Here’s a quick reminder that Hogwarts Legacy is out for PS4 and PS5 and XBox on February 10th.

Switch version coming later.

Video game discussion sites are in the thrall of transactivists who are doing their utmost to cancel this.

Might make a good present for gaming kids in the family with birthdays coming up.

Let’s make sure it does well.

I’m not convinced the game would make a great surprise gift. For the people who are interested in the game regardless they will probably have preordered as there are preorder bonuses available. For those who have not they are either likely not too interested anyway or (especially following the Cyberpunk 2077 debacle) want to see reviews and real gameplay before buying and wouldn’t want someone to make that decision on their behalf.

We've misplaced our Switch. Don't ask.

I can't wait for it to come out, I've got to wait for July 25th though as I want it on switch. I still have all the old Harry Potter games from the ps2.

Absolutely love the woman. I'm sure that the game will be a great success. I bet half of them buy it on the quiet whilst paying lipservice to the shriekers.

My son has pre ordered it for himself and a relative who insists JK is transphobic. 😅

The funny thing is as someone who thinks the Books are poor, I find myself supporting JK Rowling, more and more and wish her every success.

Unlike Radcliffe and Watson who are are dreadful actors and bit the hand that fed them.

My favourite thing is that Harry Potter is so huge worldwide,and has been for years, that JKR can’t be cancelled!

its not “being cancelled”. Some people are making a fuss about it in hopes of persuading others not to buy it. Some trolls are tagging it on steam with inappropriate tags which is apparently a thing that happens often on game releases - tagging children’s games as NSFW for example. It really doesn’t need your help posting on MN given it’s the top selling game on Amazon

and yes I have preordered the deluxe edition for ps5!

I don't consider myself a 'gamer' (I believe that's the terminology), 'cos I'm rubbish at it. But I am curious about this game, which I probably wouldn't have heard about if it hadn't been for the tras trying to cancel. I'll see what my sister says about it, she's into all this stuff.

I don't play computer games really. Used to like playing Lego Harry Potter with my DS though. 😂

I love Harry Potter though and I love getting up the nose of TRAs so have bought this. Looking forward to giving it a bash.

Ohhhh I am so tempted by this game. I've watched a LOT of trailers for it. I don't buy new games and don't get a look in with my kids hogging the PS5 BUT I'm considering it...

It's quite a price tag - as are all new PS5 games - but I've pre-ordered the PS VR2 so not sure whether I should not get it because I'm spending so much on the VR, or fuck it because I'm spending so much on the VR 🤣

What I do want is Hogwarts Legacy on VR!!! Now that would be something.

My DD has preordered a copy with her Christmas money, she's waited two years for this game to come out so I really hope it lives up to her expectations. It's due to come out for PlayStation right before she's off school for February half term break, so I'm guessing I won't be seeing much of her that week.
