I preordered the digital deluxe version on my PS5 and I cannot WAIT!! I've watched all the devs videos on the Hogwarts Legacy YouTube channel and it looks utterly incredible. I always thought I'd choose Gryffindor but the Hufflepuff common room is gorgeous, it's so cosy looking!

Gamers don't care about this sort of stuff. If they're waiting for a game then they'll play the game regardless. Look at the uproar over the last of us 2 and people still bought it. Now there's a telly series out and casting has started for the second game adaptation. The TRAs are hopping up and down over casting. It doesnt make a difference, they're just pissing into the wind.

Absolutely! I'm in a fantastic all female 18+ Playstation group on Facebook. We were a group that primarily played Red Dead Redemption 2 together but since Rockstar abandoned it, we play other stuff together now too.

I've already pre ordered it - been looking forward to it forever and I can't blimmin' wait! I am buying it on Xbox now and will rebuy on Switch in the Summer. Have played and completed every Harry Potter game ever released from the original GameBoy and PS1 versions onwards. As for JK - I've read the tweets and the essay and do not consider her to be anti trans just pro women. I am pro women and pro trans - there has to be a way forward that works for everyone.

I’m not a gamer, apart from Pokémon Go (I’m not sure that even counts!), but I might get this for my birthday in March. I want to explore my common room 🐍

This grown woman plays video games. Not all the time, and usually not the latest ones but I have ordered thus and intend to play it! Whats wrong with grown women who play games?
I am a mother and I work so I don't get much time to game nowadays admittedly but I do play a bit!

There is a ridiculous stigma around grown ups, particularly women, who play video games! I hate this attitude of 'Video games are for kids' if they were solely for kids then why do they make games with an 18 age limit? 🥴

What sort of things do you play?

I mostly play on pc currently and it's mostly tycoon style games. I did enjoy the dragon age and mass effect series though! My husband is more of a gamer than me so we have all the consoles :) I like a bit of pokemon too, though I haven't finished the latest one! Like I say, generally not the latest games but it's still gaming

For all adult gamers on this thread, it's not HP, but the new Tomb Raider dlc for Powerwashing Simulator drops today on Gamepass, steam, switch, and PS4/5.

And if you havent tried powerwashing SIM yet, it's great. You just jet wash stuff clean. 🤣

I started as a child in the early 80’s with games like Pac-Man and Asteroids.

Im now in my 40’s and still love a good game. I still also have various original consoles and a fat arse tv to play them on as well as the various handhelds, plus gaming pcs and of course the newer consoles.

Shame the Ngage never really took off 😂 still have that as a spare phone.

and to answer the question about why she’s a transphobe/terf. Her along with others are called names as a way to shut them down because a small group of people just really don’t like biology. Rather than having a reasoned discussion it’s easy to hurl slurs instead.

JK has also opened a woman’s centre that is solely for females. As a result she is Aparantly a transphobe/terf for not wanting men in spaces that should be safe for females to talk about their abuse.

Twitter is going nuts at the moment because of Scotland, NS and the rapists/pedophiles prison thing. As a result more people are starting to realise that protected single sex spaces are more than just toilets. Although the prison situation isn’t just a Scotland issue as it happens in other parts of the UK

Sure, JK gets a cut of the game cost. But so do the developers, artists, scriptwriters, etc etc etc. You’d think she was the ONLY one making money from this the way the activists are banging on.

And yes grown women play games! I've been playing Pokémon on the switch recently, and I play golf on the Xbox with DH! I have some great PC games also, 2 Point Hospital, Rimworld, F1 Manager etc...

I'm very excited for this game. I got the deluxe version for PS5. I've watched some Youtube videos with recent game play and it looks awesome (except fo the oddly stiff cloaks😁)

As for whether adult women game, of course! I started with Pacman, Tetris and Doom in the 90s, was a hardcore MMO gamer during uni and now as a "staid, resposible adult" a casual console gamer.

My love for PC gaming and being a member of the "PC Gaming master race" even made me learn how to build PCs.

This game is getting fantastic reviews.

It downloaded onto my PS5 yesterday, I'm so freakin excited!! I made an account on WB games and the Harry Potter Fan Club app, and then linked them all with my PSN account so now I'll get the exclusive robe and mask 😁 I've been sorted into Hufflepuff and been chosen by my wand (vine with phoenix core).

Not long left to go!!
