To be annoyed and angry with DH

on a 2 night trip to London with DH and the kids. Our first day here. We’re still out now. Since it went dark earlier this evening DH has not stopped saying “we need to go back to the hotel”, “it’s too dark”, “it’s not safe” and so on. I’ve told him to stop and he won’t. Aibu to be angry and annoyed with him? We’re on our way back to the hotel now but earlier I had to keep explaining to him for hours that just because it’s dark we don’t have to go straight back to the hotel. He’s been making the same comments for hours and hours since it went dark

Maybe he’s tired and wants the kids in bed! Can’t think of anything worse

Worse that what? A weekend break in the best city in the world?
London is amazing, he should be drinking it in.

Yet again picking on the bloke, he obviously feels uncomfortable, so no need to give him a hard time over it, if it was a woman feeling uncomfortable of dark, and wanting to go back hotel, and him getting annoyed, you would all be slating him and saying what an arse he is.

Nothing to do with London. Who wants to walk around at 10:30pm with children.
No down time for anyone not really much of a holiday

They were already back at the hotel when she posted here.

That's not what I read here .

I actually think YABU
DH feels unsafe and sounds anxious and your dismissing his feelings as ‘annoying’
Surely you could have compromised and said let’s stay out for say another hour, not stay out for ‘hours and hours’ as you say whilst he gets even more anxious

This.

Do you live in a very quiet place normally? Did u discuss the trip or just book it. My DH is very robust but totally hates us being out in the streets when it's dark. He is most anxious because he wants to protect me and DC and feels he can't.

Perhaps he was baking a big poo and didn't want to do it away from the comfort of the hotel?

Then why insist everyone goes back to the hotel to watch/hear/smell him shit

Just return and then come out again or stay in the hotel till other’s return

Poor bloke probably because he would be the one protecting the family if anything happened. London is a violent place, other cities are available but the awkward truth never sits well - murder of a child at a funeral the latest dreadful incident- in daylight near a tube station that presumably tourists use..

I would say almost all or all of the violent crime is between people who know each other.
I wouldn’t be surprised that the perpetrators are found to be someone who had a connection to someone in the funeral party.

Outside of terrorist incidents which can happen anywhere, people don’t go around killing anonymous tourists in Central London just for the heck of it
