Drinking Water

To not be able to understand people that don't drink mineral water.
To be put off by those that drink other things. Excluding coffee/ tea alcohol sometimes.

I guess I would be put off by someone drinking goats milk as I hate the smell. I also feel a bit sick when I see adults drink a full glass of plain cows milk. I can cope when it’s a baby or toddler but seems odd when it’s an adult, even though I don’t feel the same about milkshake or hot chocolate or lattes or other drinks made up mostly of milk drink.

Most couples I know eat the same dinner together and Same drinks

Imagine going out for a meal and having to order the same food and drink as your partner!
No wonder you have bizarre notions of relationships and how long they work for.

It's OCD I guess.

No it is not 🙄

rainbowandglitter · 09/01/2023 22:19

I only really drink tap water. I've never considered what others drink. It doesn't affect me.

CrocodilesCry · 09/01/2023 22:20

I only buy mineral water from M&S. I don't like other mineral waters @Aquarius1234 so I do get it.

Aquarius1234 · 09/01/2023 22:25

I've just gone to the kitchen and drank a large glass of tap water.
Not easy to drink as much water in winter.

I prefer Evian which is stupid I know.

My mum never drinks water, only Diet Coke, coffee or tea. I've never known her to drink water in my whole life, she hates it. she doesn't drink alcohol either. You wouldn't like her 😄

vodkaredbullgirl · 09/01/2023 22:32

I prefer to drink Pepsi max, and vodka of course Smile

Aquarius1234 · 09/01/2023 22:34

Drinking coke or coffee all day you would feel bad soon enough. Hence why water is needed.

Aquarius1234 · 09/01/2023 22:35

It's the shock that some people never drink water. It seems odd in this day and age.

vodkaredbullgirl · 09/01/2023 22:36

Well you can have my share.

Noonesperfect · 09/01/2023 22:39

This has got to be a wind up 🤪🤣

MrsSkylerWhite · 09/01/2023 22:39

You couldn’t have a relationship with someone who didn’t exclusively drink water?

Blimey. You’re seriously limiting your choices.

Teenagehorrorbag · 09/01/2023 22:39

Aquarius1234 · 09/01/2023 21:23

Ok slightly less weird. I'd find it difficult to have a close relationship with someone that hardly drank water and instead drank fruit juices throughout the day.

Definitely weird! Why does it matter what people drink? I doubt many people would drink fruit juice all day long as it might have an adverse effect on their bowels Grin but if their choice was squash, for example - why would you care?

I agree those flavoured waters are a) horrible, b) expensive and c) bad for the environment, so with a life partner you might discuss points b and c - but while you're at the dating stage it wouldn't be relevant.

If they drink coke and lemonade all day they won't have any teeth, so you probably won't be dating them anyway....Smile.

I imagine most people drink water, tea and coffee most of the time, don't they?

That didn't drink water in general. Not only water. I said coffee tea etc was ok.

Epic troll post! 10/10.... as yes obviously that would be mental

vodkaredbullgirl · 09/01/2023 22:48

Think you need to drink more water, with whatever you are drinking.

How very magnanimous and cosmopolitan of you.

You’d turn away the potential love of your life because they enjoyed a Fanta or beer here or there?

sorry mate, seriously weird. Why the hell would it bother you?

BertaHoon · 09/01/2023 23:03

I could murder a vodka and coke right now.

If I have to be on form in the morning, I'll have the vodka neat.

BreviloquentBastard · 09/01/2023 23:11

I can't imagine anything so trivial and inconsequential mattering enough to me to impact my friendships and romantic relationships. My husband loves coffee, I hate it. Shockingly it hasn't been the doom of our marriage.

Sorry OP but you're either a troll or utterly maladjusted.

This ^^ pretty much says what I think. It is the sort of thing you would expect a child to say.

I hate fruit juice so I find it difficult to be compatible with those that drink it.
Am I weird that I want to be friends/ date someone that also only likes mineral water and never mixes it?

Yes you are. Be prepared to be single for a long time
