I worked in the NHS for over 30 years, starting in 1972, it went downhill, long before Brexit. Up to the 80s, managers were nursing staff who had worked their way up through the ranks. It was like the military, even down to discipline. A colleague in the late 80s was put on a charge, because her navy blue cardigan had faded and wasn't the correct shade. 10 years ago I was given a written warning and disciplinary, for being off sick 3 times in a year. (Once was an operation, pre booked and they had been notified of) I saw many years of unnecessary waste, staff shortages, overstaffing, health tourism. Money being thrown at it,is not the answer.
