To think this is (yet another) bad day for women?

On the same day that the male perpetrator is jailed for life for the particularly brutal murder of Megan Newborough, the victims of yet another murder in Kettering are named - a nurse and her two young children. A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

AIBU to be saddened, sickened and angered by this? Will it ever end, this catalogue of male violence against women and children?

roughly 1 homicide per million people living together

And how many regularly suffer DV?

most men who abuse women know not to let it get to the point where people notice. Let alone murder.

I have no idea whether abuse of women by men is an epidemic or not, but just from reading these boards I know that far too many men exert coercive control, which can be equally as devastating as actual physical violence

It's always a bad day for women and men will never stop murdering us and raping us and gaslighting us and using us.

Jeez, is that Trucking idiot still trucking banging on about trucking men?

I trucking give up. Hopefully, they will too, given they’ve had a few posts deleted (truck knows what they said, I missed them).

Start a thread regarding the abuse of men. Stop shoving your way into a discussion about what women face. It’s not being discriminatory - both situations are completely unique. Both situations are valid. What isn’t cool is your squirrelling whataboutery.
