Have I watched everything that's worth watching or I can I just not find anything?

Any recommendations?

@Sunnytwobridges There is loads of not very good stuff.

CrownTheTurkey · 15/12/2022 21:07

For those who haven't seen it, Bodies on netflix is brilliant.

Have you watched Extraordinary Attorney Woo?

I love it so much!

WhatWouldHopperDo · 16/12/2022 10:15

Apologies if someone has said it but try a K Drama. Home town cha cha cha is amazing!

WatchoRulo · 16/12/2022 10:19

Thanks OP, based on this thread I tried Extraordinary Attorney Woo - but I just can't get on with stuff overdubbed with American voices like that.

However I came across this gem of a film -

I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore.

faw2009 · 16/12/2022 11:08

Netflix also has
Young Sheldon which is so good, better than Big Bang Theory.
The Good Place

There are a few Indian films like the crazy RRR

I have to say though Severance on Apple TV is the best thing I've seen all year.

longwayoff · 16/12/2022 12:14

Call My Agent, the French version not the English remake.

antelopevalley · 16/12/2022 12:19

You see things like Good Place and Sheldon have been around for ages.

MintyGreenDreams · 16/12/2022 12:27

Cabinet of curiosities is very good

fifteenohfour · 16/12/2022 12:29

They are holding on as there are a few mega releases from other streaming services due so they are making sure to capture as much viewers as they can by holding out.

The Witcher 3 - Netflix around Christmas
His Dark Materials 3 - BBC?
The Last of Us - sky

These I think are all big releases and Netflix will want to keep their viewing numbers on par with the views for the others. My dad mansplained this to me so it might be wrong but I understand

user1471517095 · 16/12/2022 13:00

Some of the films are like a bloke and his mates have got together and said "hey, let's film a movie" I don't know what has happened to Netflix lately.

xogossipgirlxo · 16/12/2022 13:03

YANBU. I cancelled my subscription.

I watch it subtitled, not dubbed. You don't have to listen to the dubbed version.

Tinseltosser · 15/12/2022 16:13

It’s fine for me.

But then I recently fell down a kdrama hole I am yet to climb out of, so everything in trending etc. is Korean.

Driving DH nuts 😂

This happened to me and had to reset and clear everything because absolutely everything on there was Korean 😂

CrownTheTurkey · 16/12/2022 17:16

I've just started watching a series called 'Rotten'
Stuff about food and drink aren't my cup of tea, but this series is mind boggling.
I associate Mexican cartels with drugs, not avocados 😲
Give that a go if you've not seen it op. It's worth a watch.

Reasonablereasonableness · 16/12/2022 20:40

I liked 1899 - saw it before Dark and liked it better.

Also Better than Us - Russian drama ( best watched in Russian with subtitles)

XelaM · 16/12/2022 20:48

"You"?

Goatling · 16/12/2022 20:54

Like you OP I was about to cancel netflix but then I found Lilyhammer and I'm hooked again. Norwegian, not sure if it's supposed to be a comedy but parts are very funny and the main character Johnny (Frank) is so funny.

I'd recommend Superstore, Motherland and Schitt's Creek if you like Friends.

Superstore and Schitts Creek were fantastic!

TheKeatingFive · 17/12/2022 03:26

I have enjoyed The Sinner, HTGAWM, Lupin, Call My Agent, Unforgotten, Bridgerton.

Burgess67A · 17/12/2022 07:35

I know exactly what you mean about Netflix ! Have you seen Bodies? Or Do You Want Me To Kill Him?

Hobbesmanc · 17/12/2022 08:11

Try Smiley. A sweet Spanish series that's very Christmassy. A kind of gay Love Actually set in Barcelona.

Also High Water. It's a Polish dramatisation of a huge flood disaster in the late nineties. Doesn't sound much but it's really well made and acted. Loved it.

eleanorwish · 17/12/2022 08:40

Disney + is worth it for Only Murders in the Building. Steve Martin is brilliant in it.

WatchoRulo · 17/12/2022 08:44

Thanks

I actually think there’s just too much choice but, strangely, not much of it appeals. It’s like the child who has too many toys, it gets boring.
