Have I watched everything that's worth watching or I can I just not find anything?

Any recommendations?

Me too I cancelled my subscription

SkinnyFatte · 15/12/2022 16:23

Wednesday? Not gory, quite feminist, scary but not overly so. Uncle Fester is awesome, Catherine Zeta Jones is brilliant.

Firefly Lane? Soapy, cheesy, passes the time.

Looking forward to 1899

This is one of these I wanted to see but gave up after one episode. Others like it, so it may just be me. But I found it very slow and it made me suspicious it was the kind of thing that wasn't going to have a decent ending.

Yeah, nlt great, not terrible.
Better than half the staff on netflix

Don't say that! I loved Dark and I was really looking forward to 1899. That was pretty much our whole Christmas plan.

I cancelled my sub but am logging into Disney+ on my son's login. I plan on joining on Monday because I've enjoyed the programs and think my DH will too. Also - DIsney movies! All of them!

I loved it. But I like slightly unusual programmes. Think as far away from strictly or BGT as you can get and that’s what I like.
It’s slow though. And sleep inducing because of the timbre of it. But it’s unusual. Right up my street.
Someone told me afterward not to watch it dubbed. Turn off dubbing because the fact that different languages are being spoken adds to the confusion and intricacy’s of the scenes.

Toddlerteaplease · 15/12/2022 16:30

I gave up
As there was nothing I wanted to watch!

faw2009 · 15/12/2022 16:31

I really enjoyed 1899!

Have you already seen Orphan Black? How about Travelers? Altered Carbon?

PaulRobinsonsSeventhWife · 15/12/2022 16:32

I find everything so bleak, so many murder shows, just want something lighthearted and find a lot of their own comedy shows really poor quality.

I was just saying earlier that I hardly ever watch Netflix anymore. If you do get paramount+ then Tulsa King is worth a watch.
I only ever use Netflix now for all the food shows for something easy to watch or have on in the background.Things like sugar rush and chocolate school.

CrownTheTurkey · 15/12/2022 16:43

It depends on what you like.
I can't stand friends and that type of stuff, but I enjoy a true crime or a documentary.
Indian crime is brilliant, if you like that type of thing. Look for Delhi Crime, murder in the courtroom, house of numbers, India's Daughter etc.
Bodies was brilliant too as is Anatomy of Scandal and The Making of a Murderer.

Vinylloving · 15/12/2022 16:44

Home for Christmas, absolutely brilliant. Norwegian, great scenery, characters, funny and heart warming but not twee

Ohyoudodoyou · 15/12/2022 16:45

I watch Disney and binge watched:
Desperate housewives
Ugly Betty
Golden girls
Nip tuck

I really enjoyed it all. Hardly watch anything new so am renewing my BFI player subscription and going to the opposite end of the scale with their top best films list! Wide ranging tastes here but never anything on Netflix!

Vinylloving · 15/12/2022 16:45

The staircase documentary
The sinner
Virgin river

yoyy · 15/12/2022 16:45

Oh and most of the stuff on the 'trending'lists is complete crap don't know how anyone's watching it.

I've been sucked in so many times! Always shit though

PumpkinPooSpice · 15/12/2022 16:45

Is Golden Girls on Disney?!?

I'll look up Indian crime dramas, that's interesting I don't think I'd heard of any before.

Prime is shit.

Disney is good & apple tv has some good things. I just sign up for a new one, binge watch & then ditch.

yoyy · 15/12/2022 16:49

Is that more television or films?

the kids have watched a few films. I'm watching yellowstone & want to watch Tulsa king.

Apple had bad sisters which is supposed to be good.

PumpkinPooSpice · 15/12/2022 16:49

Prime is shit but I pay for the delivery so I can't drop it anyway! Anything watchable you have to pay for.

OP posts:
yoyy · 15/12/2022 16:50

the delivery is a con though as most prime things are more expensive to buy on prime vs non prime.
