Have I watched everything that's worth watching or I can I just not find anything?

Any recommendations?

Is it worth cancelling my Netflix and switching to Disney+ instead?

Eddielizzard · 15/12/2022 17:22

Crash landing on you
Kim's Convenience Store
Midnight Diner

All brilliant

Choconut · 15/12/2022 17:27

Not my usual thing but I watched the Dahmer series on serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and it was very good. Like a horror film but (mostly) true.

I thought Disney was crap, I wasn't interested in Disney films though or the marvel stuff but ds wanted it for the starwars stuff. I literally didn't find anything I wanted to watch on there and ended up swapping Prime.

Brooklyn nine nine is excellent. Echo recommendations for schitts creek and motherland.
all of us are dead was imo better than squid game. I loved it. Korean zombies.

Fuwari · 15/12/2022 17:34

Alice in borderland is good. There's a new season coming on 22nd. There's a good Korean show called hellbound.

OkPedro · 15/12/2022 17:36

I'd recommend Ozark if you haven't watched already. I loved "In to the night" French series.. The innocent man, Lucifer, You, The missing, Messiah, Behind her eyes.

I've watched the first two series of Dark but I'm on the first episode of series 3 and I'm unbelievably confused 😩 Is it worth sticking at it??

Hellbound is NOT for squeemish.
Tbh most of stuff from that geographical area is not for squeemish, but it's great mindfuck.

There's a Netflix thread somewhere. I sometimes post on that.

Recently watched Lady Chatterley's Lover (not bad but not as good as earlier versions- thread about this somewhere). There's also kdrama and anime as has already been mentioned.

I'd like to know what to watch on Prime as I haven't watched anything there for a while.

Iliveinanoodie · 15/12/2022 17:41

We've cancelled our netflix from end of December. Haven't watched it in ages, so last night I was checking if there's anything worth watching before it ends. I spent about an hour scrolling through and starting things then giving up as it was rubbish.
I've completed netflix.

ZenNudist · 15/12/2022 17:45

I am thinking of giving up NF.

Didn't realise Prime shopping was a con.

I quite fancy paramount. I'd love something with a hbo subscription.

Peripheral is good
The devil's hour
Night sky

HideousKinky · 15/12/2022 17:50

The Wonder - really worth seeing

holidayelbow · 15/12/2022 17:53

Wednesday, the Whitcher , Bridgerton, Morning Glory, Emily in Paris, and a whole bunch more movies, anatomy of scandal, ozark, holidate

GloomyDarkness · 15/12/2022 17:55

1899, Sandman, a series of unfortunate events ( TV series), The masters sun, Final space, Castlevania, The good place, The half bad: the bastard son and the devil himself, the Umbrella academy, Russian doll, Maniac, Wednesday.

I am finding it hard to find good things than when we first got it.

GyozaGuiting · 15/12/2022 17:57

Disney is great here, my boys love star wars and marvel, and I loved that Wrexham documentary about Ryan Reynolds and the national geographic stuff on there! Just watching the muppets Christmas carol on there now.

Netflix is shit. I’ve stopped our subscription.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 15/12/2022 17:59

It's not new but I just finished Wild Wild Country (documentary). It has to be seen to be believed, thoroughly recommend it. About a cult that completely takes over a small town in Oregon. My jaw was on the floor at times!

GloomyDarkness · 15/12/2022 17:59

I haven't finished but - The imperfects - was also good - mad scientists and monsters - messing with DNA.

Fluffygreenslippers · 15/12/2022 18:00

Watch Love & Anarchy, it’s a swedish drama/comedy. Something a little different. My favourite kdrama is My Id is Gangham beauty but I also liked Crash Landing on you

RobinRobinMouse · 15/12/2022 18:03

Robin Robin is amazing.

Mince314s · 15/12/2022 18:04

PumpkinPooSpice · 15/12/2022 16:25

Don't say that! I loved Dark and I was really looking forward to 1899. That was pretty much our whole Christmas plan.

I'm really enjoying it, make sure you switch off the dubbing though.

I also really enjoyed dead to me and the bold type. We mostly have Netflix for Peppa though.

Outtasteamandluck · 15/12/2022 18:06

I absolutely love Netflix. I always find something to watch.

amatsip · 15/12/2022 18:08

Honestly you need to see WAYNE it’s gone from YouTube\amazon to All4, by far the best show I’ve seen in years, it’s one hell of a ride!
sadly only 1 season so far as covid stopped them starting season 2.

Haventhadaneggsinceeaster · 15/12/2022 18:10

Enjoyed the following:
Dead to Me
Liar
Ozark
The Sinner
The Secret
The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window
The Fall
Motherland
Anatomy of a Scandal
You

GorgeousLadyofWrestling · 15/12/2022 18:16

OP if you like Dark, you may well like 1897 - very similar, German time travel science fiction vibe.

If you can, try Apple. Their Originals are smashing everything out the park. Severance is excellent!
