That does not, of course, mean they have to let any and every journalist in, but it does suggest a slightly different approach to privacy than 'no one comes in unless it's my mum, the plumber or the police with a warrant'
@Sigma33 of course. I was making a joke. They're never very good but it's a habit of mine.
Last night during our discussion about Harry and Meghan someone suggested that because they had given an interview once to Oprah, they would be obliged to talk to journalists forever more. This was nonsense and I don't remember who said that but I'm sure it wasn't you because you wouldn't be that silly.
Nevertheless it's great that you've repeated an important point of mine. Unless it's an emergency no one has to speak to the police or HMRC or similar unless they have a warrant.
I don't know why you selected this from one of my posts but you zeroed in on one of my most heartfelt ideals . Don't let people bullshit you.
People can never be told this enough. They get intimidated by people talking all kinds of crap about the law but they shouldn't because lots of people talk bollocks. You just have to look it up. It's shocking but there we are.
For the avoidance of doubt no one has to speak to journalists. Not even you. I thought we'd left it in a civilised manner last night but if you want to talk, I'm listening.
