To ask how many loads of laundry a week is normal!?

I seem to have a never ending of stream of laundry!

In a week I end to do: 3-4 loads of clothes, 1 load of towels and 2 loads of sheets.

Family of 4!

Is this a normal amount? Is there a way to make it more economical? I'm looking at my energy tracker today and getting annoyed with how much I've spent just because of the laundy

Three of us at home now, we do around 8-10 loads per week. When the older 2 DC are home from university in the holidays it is more like 12-15.

We are quite sporty though so there is extra washing from gym/swim/football/hockey kits etc.

We each have our own towels, which are washed once a week. Bedding is washed once a fortnight.

Definitely daily plus two or three some days especially if a day is missed

2 adults
1 load of towels a week, I wash them separately as it’s advisable not to use fabric conditioners on them
1 load of bedding a week
clothes 3/4 loads a week, we both only wear work clothes once then have clean next day
