To hate the fact I’m fat

I was fat when I left school, fat when I graduated.

Fat in first pregnancy, fat at my wedding. Now pregnant again and fat.

I have had brief periods of being not-fat but I always put the weight back on Sad

Fed up of being FAT!

It's so hard isn't it. I've lost 3 stone in the last year. I still have a way to go. I've been calorie counting on nutracheck and trying to be more active (bought an Apple Watch).

My motivation was that I really didn't want to be the fat mum at the school gate when my child started reception in September (and I wasn't)

I've had to try to come to terms with the fact that it will always be a battle for me. I will always have to think about what I'm eating, I'll always have to deny myself of things and I'll probably always have to count calories. But I'd still rather that than be fat again.

I am also very conscious of not passing any issues onto my child, so I hope once I get to where I want to be size wise I will be able to have more balance - I won't be the mum sitting with a Diet Coke whilst everyone else has cakes either!

You’re finding excuses all the time. Of course you can exercise. You have to choose to do it though. You can do it in the house or garden. I have to make a conscious effort every day to exercise and eat healthily. I don’t have a natural talent for it. I make the right choices (most of the time).

Just count the calories as you go through the day and stop when you get to about 1500. I had porridge for breakfast (300 cal), a Gregg's sausage roll at lunchtime (300?) - unhealthy I know, but filling - and fish pie with a large portion of veg for dinner. I'm a size 12 and happy with that.
