To ask how many radiators you have in your house?

Just read a thread where someone has 16 in a 4 bed house, several people were shocked they had so many. So how many do you have and what size house?

3 bedroom 3 storey house here with 16 radiators so I don’t think the same amount in a 4 bed is a lot but maybe my house has above average number of radiators.

1 kitchen
1 downstairs wet room
2 living room
1 hallway downstairs
2 middle floor landing one each end hallway is long and wide 4mx2.5m
2 middle floor back bedroom
1 middle floor bathroom
1 middle floor front bedroom
1 3rd floor landing
2 3rd floor bedroom
1 en-suite
1 dressing room

You would expect 1 per room including hallways, large rooms like lounge and mater bedroom will often have 2, as they can just order all the same size instead of larger ones for the larger room.

8 in a three bed house

1 kitchen
1 living room
1 hallway downstairs
1 hallway upstairs
1 bathroom
1 in each bedroom (3)

Going to have to name change after this - just counted….22 🤯🙈….funnily enough the heating hasn’t been turned on yet this year!!!….and won’t be until it’s mid single figure celcius🥶!!

Hugasauras · 05/11/2022 17:31

2 x living room
2 x kitchen
1 x playroom
2 x bathrooms
2 x hall (upstairs and down)
4 x bedrooms

Utility room doesn't have one.

VisitingThem · 05/11/2022 17:32

You won't find any newish build houses without a radiator (or other heat source) in every room as it messes up the EPC if hallways etc are unheated spaces.

7 in 2 bed flat

Kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, en suite and 2 in living room.

georgarina · 05/11/2022 17:37

4 plus a heated towel rack in a 1 bed

BankyWollocks · 05/11/2022 17:37

19 plus 4 heated towel rails
We don't have them all on though

BankyWollocks · 05/11/2022 17:38

Eek 5 heated towel rails

ChocolateCakeYum · 05/11/2022 17:38

3 + 1 bath house bed house. One radiator in each room except the kitchen (it’s open plan with the dining room and we have a huge log burner and massive radiator in there so no need to have a radiator in the kitchen as well).

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 05/11/2022 17:38

23 radiators…about the same amount of windows

2 in downstairs hall
2 in living room
2 in dining room
1 in utility room
1 in snug
1 in kitchen
1 in downstairs loo
1 in small hall

2 in upstairs hall
9 in 5 bedrooms/0ffice
1 in bathroom

sanityisamyth · 05/11/2022 17:39
  1. Not radiators, but electric heaters. One in sitting room, one in my bedroom, one in DS's bedroom. Refusing to use them as too expensive to run.
Amoreena · 05/11/2022 17:40

5 in a 2 bed terrace. Bathroom, bedrooms and 2 downstairs

Iamclearlyamug · 05/11/2022 17:40

8 in a 2 bed flat

2 in lounge
1 in kitchen
1 in hallway
1 in main bedroom
1 in second bedroom
1 in main bathroom
1 in en-suite bathroom

But only 5 of them work 🤣

NeedToKnow101 · 05/11/2022 17:41

Two-bed flat. Radiator in both bedroom and living room, plus a heated towel rail in bathroom.

Going to get one fitted in hallway.

user1497787065 · 05/11/2022 17:42

22 in five bed, 4 bathrooms

NEmama · 05/11/2022 17:42

21 in 4 bed detached

B1993 · 05/11/2022 17:43

10 in a 3 bed detached, plus a large plinth heater in kitchen. Our downstairs is mostly open plan (kitchen, dining, living room) so as well as the plinth heater, we also have a large radiator in the living room.

There's also one in the porch, downstairs toilet, integrated garage (used as a home gym), upstairs landing, each of the bedrooms, family bathroom and en suite.

PassThePortMrsNorris · 05/11/2022 17:44

3 bed mid terrace. We have 9 x radiators and 4 x towel rails which heat up like radiators

flflflf · 05/11/2022 17:44

bumblebeemumma · 05/11/2022 17:46

7 in my 3 bed

1 living room
1 dining room
0 kitchen (soo cold in there!)
1 downstairs hallway
1 bathroom
3 x bedroom

Filleto · 05/11/2022 17:47

I think we have 20. 8 bedroom 4 storey

thelobsterquadrille · 05/11/2022 17:48

Five in a 2-bed terrace.

2 x living room
2 x bedrooms
1 x upstairs hallway

The bathroom has a heated towel rail and there's floor-level plinth heaters under the cabinets in the kitchen, but we rarely ever have it on.
