AIBU to think this is not tat

Recently purchased this rather gorgeous glass and metal pineapple from our local charity shop. I love it, but DH thinks it's ugly tat. Obviously he's wrong and has no appreciation for it's beauty. Maybe you lovely MN'ers can settle this argument for me.

It's absolutely glorious, divine tat! Especially beautiful with the fairy lights, it's the sort of thing I'd have in the house because it's just so naff that it's wonderful, if you know what I mean!

PS OP, the pineapple does not really go with the rest of your decor, which is lovely and calming.

I completely and unironically love it. The iridescence is just the icing on the cake. I hope it turns out to be something really expensive so your husband has to concede that it was a bargain

The lights and it being positioned beside your DH’s choice of decor has swayed me, I’m changing my vote and moving to team pineapple.

Before setting it I was thinking of the pineapple I've seen on This Morning and that one nowhere near as bad as yours, but that's just my opinion. I wouldn't give it house space but we all have different tastes. I'm on #TeamHusband
