Feel embarrassed? Was I in the wrong

I normally go and get my eyebrows at the same place. I brought my kids with me. They only take cash, and the cash machine is literally two shops away, inside the mall. I have a double pram, one of my child wtrapped in, I said to the lady is it okay if I run and get the money and leave her with you. As soon as I left, her husband called me who was at the shop you needed to take your child with you, so angrily as if I'm being a bad mum, and neglecting my child for being two seconds. In hindsight maybe I am in the wrong, in my mind I have been there for years and would quickly rush and leave, rather than taking the pram out. I felt so shamed and embarrassed by the incident. Was I in the wrong, please be kind I already feel like a shit mum. I'm a single mother of two little one, and I must admit I already feel like I don't know what I'm doing.

You were not 'two seconds'. A cash withdrawal takes well over a minute plus running there and back. Get the money out first or take your children with you.

Ha! Hardly the same. Some things are basic personal hygiene, and are also partly to do with not offending other people <imagines bollocks and boobs freely dangling around Tesco>

Fake eyebrows are in neither of those categories. They are on a par with lip fillers as "things that women really don't need".

You dont know what OPs eyebrows are like... OP could have a massive monobrow that is a source of unwanted attention and anxiety for all you know or she could have white blonde eyebrows that look invisible and feels better with a slight tint etc...

I have thick arched brows, I normally leave them natural as Im lazy but I have had the waxed in the past and it simply tidies them up. I get loads of compliments when they have been waxed even though they take very little off (just stray hairs) but it in no way is 'fake' just tidied and the natural shape enhanced.

It's no more silly or unnatural than shaving armpits/legs or getting your hair styled.

Perfectly normal to leave a tot in a pram as a deposit

No! No it isn’t!

^ This. It's really not standard behaviour to leave your child with a relative stranger while you pop and get cash. I'm hoping that OP knows her quite well maybe? But why would the husband ring up (he sounds an arse tbf)

Kindly OP, I don't think you should leave your young child with a stranger to get cash.

Don't beat yourself up OP. We all make rash decisions that we probably wouldn't make if we had more time to think about the dangers.

I remember being in a clothes shop with my then four year old and their younger sibling who was in a buggy. We were waiting for the lift to go down to the ground floor. The four year old went in first (1st mistake) and somebody on the ground floor must have pressed the button because the door closed before I knew it and off it went with my four year old. I panicked and ran like a maniac down the stairs to reach the ground floor before my four year old wandered off. But in doing so I abandoned the buggy on the first floor without a word to anyone to watch it.
It worked out ok in the end but I still groan inwardly when I remember it even though years have passed.

That was the only thing to do in those circumstances. Maybe shouting to someone nearby to watch baby as you ran, but not much else you could do.

So what? What business is it if yours or anyone else’s if the OP gets her eyebrows done? Imagine being so judgemental of other people, of other women.

honestly, some of the shit I read on this forum makes me absolutely despair.

You don’t need a lot of things. Stop being such a dense prick, women are allowed to enjoy doing nice things for themselves that make them feel good. If YOU don’t want to then don’t, but you don’t get to belittle other women because they do.

To be honest, I don't see what the issue is if it was only over the road. The lady could have gone and got the op if there was a problem.

Presumably then asking someone else to watch the baby whilst she dashed to get the mum..
