Walked past today. Very long queues. Maybe half term, but then they always seem to be busy.

What is the big attraction?

We love their McMuffins and hash browns, I can't remember the last time we had anything except breakfast though, it was probably at a motorway services in the middle of the night.

blippi123 · 26/10/2022 20:50

McDonalds would be a last resort for me

Everybody I know slates the place and sees it as a place to go for some dirty grease

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 26/10/2022 20:51

If you or someone in your family has asd then it's a safe place to eat because the food is largely the same everywhere.

Btw McDonald's in India is delicious.

Applesandcarrots · 26/10/2022 20:51

There si quite a lot of "cheap and rank and crap".
It's a bun with parry in it. You really can't do thatuch wrong on it to make it into some evil concoction some people make it like😂
I used to work there, it's not black magic. It's just normal food.

Dacadactyl · 26/10/2022 20:51

I wouldn't eat it either OP. YANBU.

Applesandcarrots · 26/10/2022 20:52

*patty! And so on🙄

BurscoughBooths · 26/10/2022 20:52

I’d rather go hungry than eat McDonald’s, KFC or Greggs.

hamstersarse · 26/10/2022 20:52

It makes me feel a fleeting moment of despair when I see the queue at my local McDonald’s, then look around at the massive obesity problem we have

Yes, the food is cheap…..I get that. But not to get too on high horse about it, it just strikes me as slovenly and gluttonous. McEats delivery makes me feel even worse. You don’t even have to move to be gluttonous.

YANBU

AnyFucker · 26/10/2022 20:53

I don’t like it

RunningFromInsanity · 26/10/2022 20:53

Big Mac, with bacon, no cheese. Delicious.

Its one of the only foods DC will eat when outside the house so we almost always go to McDonalds, Greggs, or Subway.

McDonald's fries, extra salt, and a large milkshake to dip them in is the hangover cure of the gods.

I like most of that, but you dip the chips in the milk shake? We need to sit down to discuss that!

You're no friend of mine!

It's the saltiness of the fries with the sweetness of the shake, it does something to the hangover and makes it go away.

OnomatopoeiaFlea · 26/10/2022 20:55

Yawn

there is a contrived post like this every few months and it’s just as stupid this time around.

I like how McDonald’s is a bit of a class nullifier, royals love it, the wealthy love it, the middle class love it as do the WC and unemployed. The only place you’re just as likely to see a Bentley in the drive through next to a clapped out Clio.

BigFatLiar · 26/10/2022 20:56

Easy & convenient, the kids liked it, I've nothing against it. Same with kfc or pizza hut, they're just a convenient place where you know what you'll get at a reasonable price.

OnTheBoardwalk · 26/10/2022 20:56

I did use to really like a couple of cheeseburgers when stressed, I’ve never liked the fries

these days the cheeseburgers are cold, tasteless and look like someone has sat on them before the finally comes out with them whilst 'parked up' these days

still love the gherkins though

You're more a kfc fan?

Jaffacats · 26/10/2022 20:57

Haven’t eaten one in years. I’d have loved MaccyDs as a kid. It’s sweet, salty, soft food with a big brand identity with lots of bright colours and packaging. Sitting down at home to eat was boring and wasted time valuable play time.

Hugasauras · 26/10/2022 20:57

Love a quarter pounder with cheese and fries. DD1 is partial to their fish finger happy meals. And we all love a McMuffin!

bellac11 · 26/10/2022 20:57

Im pretty sure I remember a spoof where a load of food critics were invited to an event and the food was mcdonalds but disguised somehow and all of them raved about it until they were told what it was

I like the odd mcdonalds, hate their breakfast stuff though.

borntobequiet · 26/10/2022 20:58

Not everyone likes MacDonalds. YABU.

Conkersareback · 26/10/2022 20:58

@FarmerRefuted ok, I'll try it next time I've got a hangover!

Probably Sunday.

It was nuggets I think and it was promoted as high quality organic god knows what else😂

M2551 · 26/10/2022 20:58

I hadn't had MacDonalds for years. Hated the smell when near one...

Then during the pandemic they shut for a bit and reopened and it was all over social media and everybody was posting it like it was a very special treat! I fancied some and have been buying more in the last two years than in the eight years before. Delivery has definitely made it very easy.

We order the wraps and the breakfast bacon rolls.

I am starting to lose interest again though now as our local keeps getting orders wrong, takes too long, and the taste is not great if the food is not hot.

Bigyellowuber · 26/10/2022 20:59

One of the only places you can get a cheap gluten free meal.
