To wonder why everyone likes mcdonalds?

Walked past today. Very long queues. Maybe half term, but then they always seem to be busy.

What is the big attraction?

But then I don’t buy takeaway meals very often as 9 times out of 10, it’s extremely disappointing.

Never had one, never will. Politically theyre shite, cause so much damage to the environment, etc, etc.

It's a treat because we don't do it often. It's cheap. And it's always the same (ASD in the family)

I find it expensive for what it is. I would get it if I was starving and it was nearby. OH bought a single burger from Burker king and it was £9!! I would get a sandwich instead if that was an option or go to a kebab shop and get a huge burger with all the salad (and probably chips and a drink ) for the same price.

All takeaways are shit. Rarely have them, and would rather spend less money and endure the cooking for something nicer at the end. I'm not even that good at cooking really either. There us one mediocre Chinese takeaway and a pretty good Indian takeaway where I live and I live in a town with lots of takeaway options. Ordering pizza is daylight robbery too - its just bread and cheese for fucksake.

Marketing and sugar/salt combination to make it seem good. They know their market

Its crap. but cheap and quick especially if Im on the motorway and call at the services and have not eaten all day.

Its food at least but not good food, people who crave it well, I think a bit of brainwashing and brand loyalty.

Just an fyi I am pretty sure that restaurant burgers will have same if not more salt sugar😉

We get it, quick and easy and DS likes a happy meal 🤷🏻‍♀️. Not all the time but I don't think that deeply into getting a mcds tbh.

Of all the burgers I've ever bought in my life, from a professional maker of burgers, McDonalds are the worst. A burger from anyone else is delicious, a Mcdonalds burger is shit and leaves me enraged and feeling cheated out of what should have been a good experience.

I find it deeply ironic that a company whose brand is synonymous with burgers makes the world's worst burgers.

It's the opposite for me! McDonald's fries are bland and not crispy, ditto KFC. We never get a McD's or KFC anymore.

Burger King fries, otoh, are crispy and delicious....although last time we had some (two weeks ago, we probably only get a BK two or three times a year), we couldn't get over how few fries were in a large portion 🧐

Agree with you. It's vile pap. Luke warm burgers, limp salad. But it's cheap. If I'm out, desperate for a quick fix, I'd choose Burger King, but twice the price.

I used to love it as a kid and young adult, but I started to find that it gave me a really bad hangover. I mean, not like an alcohol hangover where you're telling strangers in the street that you love them whilst simultaneously looking to start a fight, but a really terrible fizzy, groggy, achey head.
