Absolute scenes

hopeishere · 19/10/2022 12:09

She just have the thickest skin.

toomuchlaundry · 19/10/2022 12:09

It doesn't show our Parliament in a good light

SleeplessInEngland · 19/10/2022 12:10

PM quotes Peter Mandelson: “I am a fighter not a quitter!"

SheilaWilde · 19/10/2022 12:10

She'll be in panto at Bromley theatre come January.

Blossomtoes · 19/10/2022 12:18

Braverman and Truss seem to be protecting women's spaces

Braverman voted against buffer zones outside abortion clinics. How is that protecting women’s spaces?

Givenuptotally · 19/10/2022 12:21

Gone, gone, gone!

Croque · 19/10/2022 12:21

She has adopted a new range of pantomime facial expressions. I wonder what they have put her on today? It makes her look like a vile troll. Oh, hang on...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/10/2022 12:21

How can she be blaming the screeching u turns made this week on changing economic circumstances that have nothing to do with her? Is she saying that they were so stupid that they couldn't forecast world economic trends two weeks hence?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/10/2022 12:23

Braverman showed very clearly what she thinks with womens safe spaces by voting against buffer zones, exactly at the same time as trying to introduce a new bill that clamps down on legitimate protests.

SleeplessInEngland · 19/10/2022 12:23

Triple lock is now staying, apparently. The right arm doesn't know what the left is doing.

cherrytreelanecherries · 19/10/2022 12:30

The triple lock thing was quite a clever strategy. SNP bloke was clearly completely unprepared for that.

I still think she should go but credit where it’s due.

I had to stop watching after that as I just find the whole thing so embarrassing - it’s just a game to most of them isn’t it.

Blossomtoes · 19/10/2022 12:31

Her answers all seem to be either she’s “protecting the vulnerable” or Starmer’s useless - which is rich coming from her.

Lesserspottedmama · 19/10/2022 12:33

They are playing with peoples lives but the stakes aren’t high for them, just power play, one up manship, petty squabbles etc.

Yup.
She's publically over-ruled her Chancellor at the dispatch box...

He wanted to wait until the review.

What is the point of bringing in Hunt?

She's gone off on one again.

Faciadipasta · 19/10/2022 12:35

Honestly can't believe they're keeping the pensions triple lock. I mean I can BELIEVE it obviously- core voter and all that - but how can they do that without raising benefits, or public sector pay? As a group pensioners really aren't the most hard up. Recent reports have shown that food poverty for households with children is double that for households without. And pensioners are getting the winter fuel payments too, right?

hesbeingabitofadick · 19/10/2022 12:36

I wonder if she'll still be there for PMQs next week?
or by tomorrow?

Only took a few days to start undermining him!

Her blaming KS for not getting things done when he's not actually the PM or in the government was...interesting.

She’ll be punished for that. It clearly hasn’t sunk in who’s in charge yet.

I felt he left her off with that. I was completely incredulous when I heard her.

Iwantmyoldnameback · 19/10/2022 12:44

Her knowledge of local events is amazing almost like it's rehearsed.

So what's changed between Monday and today?

She wouldn't offer the same guarantee for carers ' allowance or any other benefits.

And she's still parroting the energy price guarantee.

I think you might be right.

derxa · 19/10/2022 12:50

I think what a lot of you want is her bursting into tears and running off. She toughed it out today. And I'm no fan.
