I can't believe how politician-like he is, compared to Liz Truss!
Happy enough with the changes on the whole, what do you think?

OP posts:
FeralWitch · 17/10/2022 18:48

The only possible problem Jeremy Hunt could be the solution to is, “I can’t think of anyone whose name matches their personality.”

I saw him described on twitter as smoother and more dangerous than black ice, which about sums it up.

He's not actively trying to torch the economy to win points from a bunch of incel-wannabe Hayek nerds, but it's a low bar.

He's a dangerous man to have in power, certainly. Nasty slippery conniving type. He's done dreadful things to education and health. Nope.

He's a grown up. He didn't damage the NHS, because it became inevitable decades ago that the business model was unsustainable. It's just a shame that he didn't push further to modernise it and put in an insurance system.

Of course he damaged the NHS. He totally shafted the junior doctors because he knew he had them over a barrel as they wouldn't strike. They were too busy saving lives to take him on properly. The NHS isn't a flipping business model, it's a service. Why don't you look at the US system a bit more closely before you start spouting free market economics for a health system.

astrowars · 17/10/2022 18:51

I don't think he's a cunt. He hasn't got the warmth or the depth. He's an arsehole.... small, and full of shit.

This!!

INeverSawAPurpleCow · 17/10/2022 18:51

Doubt he's capable of thought, to be honest.

greenhousegal · 17/10/2022 18:53

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is King.

SpiderWebbing · 17/10/2022 18:53

The fact that Hunt is to the rescue shows exactly what a complete fucking mess this whole situation is and what dire straits the Tories are in.

God help us if the ability to string a few sentences together and say ‘I’m reversing everything these two muppets have done’ is the measure of a leader.

Colderthanever · 17/10/2022 18:54

I think some of these comments are just demonstrating that he’s not being viewed on his performance today but rather the fact he’s a Tory and for some hard core labour voters everyone of them is a cunt and unacceptable .

I take that to mean he’s done well as he has those posters rattled hence the crude abuse.

HappyHappyHermit · 17/10/2022 18:57

Just another desperate attempt by the Tories to seem credible.

Bananamaman · 17/10/2022 19:00

Imagine if you could tell your past self (in 2015, say) that not only would Jeremy Hunt be running the country one day, but you'd be pleased and relieved about it 😭

You couldn’t make it up!

SpiderWebbing · 17/10/2022 19:02

I don’t think it’s just hardcore lefties who think Hunt is a C…

Regardless, it’s not about Hunt really, is it? He can’t single handed lay save this sinking ship. I think only the most deluded Tory voter would say otherwise…

VelvetHares · 17/10/2022 19:04

It's clear that the tories are toast.

Indeed.

Of course none of this current crop are acceptable. They couldn't run a corner shop budget. And I've never voted Labour!

StoneofDestiny · 17/10/2022 19:06

The Tories cannot blame anyone but themselves - they have steered the direction of the UK for 12 years! Tory voters are to blame for voting in these incompetent amoral imbeciles.

OhMerde · 17/10/2022 17:58

I'll literally settle for someone who can string a coherent sentence together quite frankly right now, so, yes, he can stay.

He was pretty good I thought.

multicolouredblouse · 17/10/2022 19:08

pompomdaisy · 17/10/2022 18:01

He's a cunt!

Now now, don't sit on the fence. Say what you really think.

MyneighbourisTotoro · 17/10/2022 19:08

Just more Tory scum 🤷🏻‍♀️We will always be screwed with them in power.

CapMarvel · 17/10/2022 19:09

He's an utter bastard but has a couple of brain cells, which is more than you can say about most tories.

miceonabranch · 17/10/2022 19:09

Another tory sociopath. What's there to like?

StoneofDestiny · 17/10/2022 19:10

Plenty of politicians can do that - Hunt has has years of practice in public speaking, but he has been a disaster - consistently.

A U-turn on the energy cap from 2 years to 6 months?

No one said he could and that wasn’t the question the op asked, she asked how people, felt he performed today not if we thought he could single handedly save the economy 🤣

and hurling crude abuse removes all credibility from the poster. If the only comment someone can grunt out is he’s a cunt arsehole etc then it lacks any form of intelligent dialogue

They are doing a review into how to manage it and support lower income families from that point, so still to be decided just it won’t be a blanket for everyone like it is now.

SpiderWebbing · 17/10/2022 19:18

I think his performance today has no meaning given the state of the government, so I think I did in fact answer the OP’s question.

And just to be clear, I’m not personally hurling abuse at Hunt. But there is a reason his name has become widely used rhyming slang…
