Just interested if anyone else would choose not to or if I’m on my own with this one? Will stick with him for this lifetime though

100% He is a great man, and perfectly matched for me.

No, I tried to end things before we got married but the gaslighted me in to thinking it was my depression talking & not what I really wanted. I was so traumatised that my mind has totally blanked out the whole ceremony, I knew at the reception I had made a massive mistake & ended up getting absolutely slaughtered.

Honestly? If I could go back in time, I would probably kill myself or join a convent. Not sure which.

First husband no way, he was an alcoholic and abusive. Second, absolutely. He's my bestfriend as well as my husband. I'm lucky to have him in my life.

A really terrible relationship can make you feel this way. But it’s the relationship not you.

I’d vary the comments about marrying the man they met not what he grew into slightly. I’d marry the man I thought he was - and who he explicitly claimed to be - not the man he actually is. It wasn’t a slow change over years; it was like signing the paperwork was his signal that he could shift into the arsehole mode he’d been suppressing and pretending didn’t exist.

The guy I thought I was marrying was lovely.
