AIBU to be delighted that Michael Gove launched his bid to be Prime Minister on the BBC this morning?

Do you have a link for this?

Draincover · 02/10/2022 09:55

He is a hideous snake, but if he's willing to take down the other charletons on the sinking ship with him, so be it.

Isaidnoalready · 02/10/2022 09:55

NO MORE TORIES

Seriously do you not see what they are doing? They put in a car crash knowing people will protest then switch it out for the "better option" then people will vote for them again because after all they are the party that listens to the people

Fucks sake

WakeUpAndBe · 02/10/2022 09:56

Haha! Brilliant!

I did think he came across well tbf. He’s clearly not impressed by Liz Truss as PM. Probably thinks he can do much better!

FarmerRefuted · 02/10/2022 09:56

He's the harbinger of doom, you know you're fucked when old Gak-fiend Gove crawls out of the woodwork to steal your soul.

LividLaVidaLoca · 02/10/2022 09:56

I mean, times are truly, truly bad if Michael Fucking Gove is seen as any sort of saviour.

Signed,

A teacher who still isn’t over it.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/10/2022 09:57

Is that you Michael?

MrsMoppins · 02/10/2022 09:57

This is ridiculous. Just how many more unelected PMs are the Tories going to be allowed to put in before someone says enough?! The day Gove is a saviour of anything other than himself is a sad day for the UK

He was on Laura K's programme this morning, rubbishing the government.
It means only 1 thing, the Gove is on manoeuvres.

Whenever I’m having a bad day, I watch this on repeat. Never fails to raise a chuckle, especially at the looking back bit.

pompomdaisy · 02/10/2022 10:01

Jesus wept. I can't take anymore of this shit fest! They all just need to go!

FarmerRefuted · 02/10/2022 10:03

Dint forget to sign if you're sick of them

What do you mean?

Truss was elected by the great and the good of the Conservative party.

Oh good God.

custardbear · 02/10/2022 10:06

Bloody hell! I vote for Ronald McDonald

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 02/10/2022 10:07

Absolutely not. The Tories had their chance to pick a new leader. The one they picked is proving a disaster.

They should not be able to pick another one without putting it back to the people in a general election.

There's no such thing as an elected PM in this country

wizbit93 · 02/10/2022 10:08

When DS was in year 5, he had to write a sentence with the word 'politician' in it. Obviously he must have listened to my rantings,as he wrote 'Michael Gove is the worst politician ever'. His teacher gave him 5 house points! Grin

And yet how reasonable thoughtful and moderate he looks compared to Truss or Johnson.

Thanks! In an age where right to protest is being curbed, petitions are the next best thing.

There’s another petition started by an Oxford professor to bring Truss and KK to account in law.

Related but separate issue.

Can Truss and Kwarteng be prosecuted for Misconduct in Public Office

The Tory membership voted for Liz Truss, before that Boris Johnson.

These people do not have a fiendish master plan.

Prefer Rishi any day. No idea why liz T won?

TimBoothseyes · 02/10/2022 10:18

Yep because he's a fine example of everything we want in a PM isn't he?

Well judging by this thread, Gove is much more popular than Truss, excellent news.
