What does the average Mumsnetter look like?

I’ve been on Mumsnet for a long time (under lots of different names) and yet I still really struggle to picture what the average MNetter looks like.

I read threads about things like how most only wear tinted moisturiser and Boden clothes, and because I’m so far removed from that, I can’t picture it.

AIBU to ask you to describe the ‘stereotypical’ MNetter for me? Bonus points for celebrity/stock images for reference.

Loads more people are on mumsnet that you'd think. So it could be anyone really. The Boden stereotype has died a death now, hasn't it?

I'm 7 foot tall, with long, scaly legs (6 of them, all ending in a sharp, crab-like point). I have lasers for eyes and I mostly wear Boden. HTH x

I always imagine Kate Middleton types

Too much foundation

I have no boden 😱

Clothes a mix of Hush, Me + Em and supermarket ranges, Veja or Skechers, cross body leather bag

Brown layered hair just below shoulders with some highlights

5'7, Size 12-14, big boobs

Tall kids

I imagine everyone to be slightly overweight and a bit frumpy, wearing sensible shoes.

No idea why because I've seen many Mumsnetters and none of them looked like that 😂

Oh and Seasalt or similar practical winter coat

Well off the back of your question, I googled ‘who looks like me’, found this website and uploaded a pic of me. These are the results (flattered by some/not so much others…)

I've never owned boden or joules. Nor seasalt.

I don't have tall kids.

I don't have highlights.

I don't wear foundation. And rarely wear any make up at all.

I don't wear supermarket clothes.

My hair looks like Hagrids and I dress like a tomboy. I don't own one item of Boden clothes, mainly asos/boohoo. My look is homeless chic 🤣

Short, fat, mixed race colouring, constantly fighting a losing battle with frizz.

never wear dresses or skirts or heeled shoes.

I like Seasalt, wearing a top from there now. most brands on here are too pricey for me.

I tend to imagine everyone on S&B is like Kate Middleton, Gwyneth Paltrow, or ver short but a size 6.

I do have a smiley face as a redeeming feature but have to be careful as it makes people talk to me a lot.

now developing the dents in my cheeks which I think is why people have fillers. Grr.
