The latest in the ongoing saga is that JM has left Twitter after being 'hounded off'. The incident that seemed to provoke this...someone critiquing a photo of her mums roast potatoes. It just gets more and more bizarre.

To be clear, I don't like to see public pile ons and some of the abuse directed at Jack has been unpleasant. But a lot has also been reasonable, polite requests for information regarding her patreon which have largely been totally ignored. And her supporters have to be some of the most cruel people on Twitter. It seems like it's fine for JM to voice her opinion but as soon as others do the same they are called out for bullying. And ironically subjected to vile comments from her followers. Go figure.

Am I the only one who thinks she's probably best having a little Twitter break? But eventually if she's ever to redeem her reputation she needs to show some transparency regarding public donations.

Shame she can't think of other people though @rudolphrainbownose do you think the witch hunts and venom that she whips up with her followers against others is OK?

I'm just going to repeat my previous answer: I think it's legit to discuss and be critical of public figures. You've got to remember they are making their living from their audiences, and their audiences deserve some accountability from them, it can't just be a one-way flow of uncritical adulation and money.

I disagree that it's bullying - if JM chooses to seek out and read online criticism, that would be her choice. Bullying would involve seeking her out to attack her.

In addition, I think that it's more than a matter of just don't buy it then if the recipes don't work - these are books that have been donated to foodbanks as part of her sales/fundraising drive. If the recipes don't work, those books are going to people who can't afford to waste the ingredients.

She is scamming people.

I think quote rightfully people are not believing everything she says about her MH. Or anything for that matter.

I would consider publishing private messages bullying. Well attempt. Because it's just hers ONe trying to make herself look good while trying to send backlash towards a very ACTUALLY vulnerable person atm instead of giving the fucking refund

personally I remain to be convinced she has any MH issues and isn’t just using it to account for her behaviour, and is a very good manipulator. She is self tested for adhd, it’s never been formally diagnosed as far as I can tell, she blatantly lies and when caught out strops off Twitter, but comes back a few day later

i have never liked her from day one, she is nothing but a bully herself, using her flying monkeys to do her dirty work and I am glad she is now being caught out

Scam is taking money by promising content via Patreon and not delivering said content. Then shrieking and claiming bullying when called out on it.

Jack may or may not be mentally ill. She certainly appears yo be lacking in empathy, desperate for attention, and have a very poor relationship with the truth much of the time.

She also spins everything to suit her own agenda, accepts money from very vulnerable people (many of whom have told her their circumstances, so she does know) and is supported on Patreon by people to whom she has promised various things which she hasn't delivered, and yet ignores requests for refunds.

What is distasteful is that a thread such as this has come to be written - if she were honest, and fulfilled her obligations then it wouldn't exist.

I don't buy her cookery books - I had the first one and spent money I could ill-afford on the book and the ingredients for rubbish meals which were quite literally inedible. Even the dog we had then wouldn't eat them, and he would eat his own excitement if he got the chance. Iy is a "con" because people are led to believe that these are good, delicious, nutritious meals - and they aren't.

If you think this thread is "distasteful", why not follow your own advice and just don't read it? It's very clear that whatever her personal circumstances she has taken advantage of a lot of people - and she is something of a bully herself. She has said some dreadful things to people who have even disagreed with her, and has caused horrific pile-ons on people she thinks have criticised her.

Does having "poor mental health" mean she should be allowed to do as she likes and continue to take money for nothing? Of course it doesn't! She is responsible for everything going wrong for herself. She has had opportunities that many others would give their eye teeth for and thrown them away. She has no-one to blame but herself.

I feel sorry for her, because she is obviously a very unhappy person, but frankly, she will never be happy because nothing will be enough for her.

Anything posted on a public social media site is not a "private message".

She posts, and frequently deletes when her posts have accomplished what she wants (usually a pile-on). Unfortunately for her, the internet never forgets.

If she is mentally ill, she should be kept away from Social Media, it's doing her no good, yet no one is stopping her..
If she is mentally ill the weight of knowingly conning people would be taking such a toll that she's stop.. she isn't.

Suicide attempts she may have claimed to have thought about it, she may claim to have even tried it, but so has 99% of all mentally and emotionally abusive people when they need to deflect attention from thei actions.

Recovering Alcoholic is also questionable. There is little to no proof that she was indeed an alcoholic. Recently she shared a photo on line but hadn't cropped out her camera roll which quite clearly showed a pint of lager beside a meal she was sharing with her son.

Quite frankly. Every word she says is bullshit.

I think writing blog posts about how you can’t afford shower gel or soap, and are so poor you have unscrewed your light bulbs (with a link to your PayPal account) while taking £1000’s a month in patreon income (and not providing the promised rewards. For 2 years) while sitting in a large 4 bed house surrounded by luxury possessions and designer clothing is pretty distasteful too, to be honest.

And it’s not ‘bullying’, because she doesn’t have to read it. None of us are aiming abuse at her personally.

I think she has an awful lot in common with Farage. Played on many vulnerable and hard up peoples concerns , for their own personal gain. Over promised and under delivered. Don't forget Farage took money for all kinds of things, candidacy (and then pulled candidates to help the Tory's) marches (where he did an hour or so ) and then left everyone else too it. They are both charlatan grifters but know the right strings to pull and know that many decent but struggling people are just plain gullible .

She breadcrumbs suicide and talks about ‘full mental breakdowns’ when she has been criticised for something she’s done. A week later she will be back to ‘living her best life’. I can’t imagine many people get over mental breakdowns in a week? Although she got over alcoholism in a week. So who knows.

She will mention any illness/issue to gain sympathy cash - alcoholism, stalking, cancer, heart attack, sexual abuse…
