Well, I knew that already, but every day she shocks me with the heights her deluded self-confidence goes to

Liz Truss had to be convinced to issue statement amid market turmoil after mini-budget

Oh how I miss Rishi … sensible, steady bloke, able to scoop up floating voters

HowVeryBizarre · 28/09/2022 00:40

Aren’t you just being governed by a different idiot?

trilobiterevival · 28/09/2022 01:08

another sacrificial lamb, they love to do this to women in the troy party.
quick money grab and she's out of the door. Serves the nationalist segment well, laughing all the way to the bank wot.

she is throwaway, useless, a grinning shark. No one in the part will take her seriously.

I am tired of party politics, i would vote labour just to get these trash out. e are a dying country, and anyone who thinks we are thriving is deluded. Our system is broken and i blame the rags and the electorate.

I don't believe he's sensible or steady. I think people are so used to shit governance that anything that appears halfway normal will be hailed as a messiah
Jesus wept

lolz for days here. He really really cared about us, lol.

GreenLunchBox · 28/09/2022 01:13

I read that PMs get £100k a year for life once they leave. Good gig! Fuck us over then reap the rewards

I honestly wish there were consequences for fucking the country over. Back in the day treason was an actual thing

Thank fuck we didn’t have Labour it would have been so much worse.

(Just getting that in early Grin)

How could anything be worse than Truss

I think you missed the irony. Admittedly it's difficult to tell these days!

This was an interesting thread started in early August. Everyone could see this coming! www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4604566-to-be-starting-to-really-worry-about-liz-truss

BlippiIsAnnoying · 28/09/2022 01:29

And still people vote for these cunts. I despair.

LemonSwan · 28/09/2022 01:35

What I would give for the flip flopping of boris right now. Despite their sins it’s clear they at-least cared for the public reaction.

LemonSwan · 28/09/2022 01:36

And to PP blips I don’t think anyone voted for this bar a few disaster capitalists.

I actually am starting to think it should be illegal to change the PM without a GE

inheritanceshiteagain · 27/09/2022 21:54

Please someone shed light on why she was elected?

Because the tiny number of Tory party members who have the vote in their hands couldn’t bring it upon themselves to vote for someone whose skin is brown.

Kennykenkencat · 28/09/2022 02:26

MrAutumnal · 27/09/2022 21:28

I’d seriously rather BoJo than Truss (not a Tory).

I never wanted Boris gone because I could see this type of thing happening.

Its like Labour taking over.

Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner don’t inspire me as World Leaders.

Be careful of what you wish for. You might just get it.

Nothing to do with the colour of someone’s skin

I think most or the Conservative members didn’t want Boris gone and they weren’t going to vote for someone who they thought of as a back stabber

We have a leader who has caused the pound to plummet in her first 2 weeks in office. I'm not sure that I could wish for anything worse!

Kennykenkencat · 28/09/2022 02:39

The point I was trying to make was
Did you wish Boris was gone from office and if you did then your wish came true.

Trez1510 · 28/09/2022 02:40

Wee joke I heard today .... this is definitely not the first time Kwarteng has given Truss a weak pound ....

She's so fucking stupid she has to keep reminding herself she's PM in every response in every interview she gives .... "As PM I'm going to [insert whatever garbled shite she spouts] ...."

I've actually said to Mr Trez, I think she has mini-orgasm every time she mentions being PM as she has a rather strange look in her eye every time she says it. 😬

mathanxiety · 28/09/2022 02:47

This is what happens when you get caught up in policies that are actually a cult like belief system. External reality becomes very hard to deal with as you bounce along, a captive of your own delusions.

waffless · 28/09/2022 04:00

Greenbox you lost me at Corbyn.

nonono1 · 28/09/2022 04:24

Never thought I’d say this but I wish Boris hadn’t gone.

Pearshaped20 · 28/09/2022 04:34

It's not just Truss and her government cronies we need to worry about its who really pulls the strings on how this country runs and its almost invisible and not talked about in mainstream, It certainly opened my eyes. Look up 55 Tufton Street, here's a link to a recent programme www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001c65m

Mfsf · 28/09/2022 04:40

When we thought boris was the worst here come the tories and surprise us yet again !
The damage she is doing to the U.K. is huge , the kind is on a downward spiral .
And the worse is I have no idea if any other party will win on a GA !
And people wonder why Scotland wants independence
