What leaves me gobsmacked is that they think it's OK to leave everything in chaos for a month whilst they try to come up with some ideas to stabilise the market. Which in reality means that, even if their measures work, there will be still more chaos whilst they are put into effect. And if they don't work, god help us all.
Some might think that you come up with your plans to stabilise the market before you do something that will destabilise it radically, not a month later. But obviously that is too sensible for Truss and Kwarteng.
