Years of owning a smartphone, years of using my clock app for timers, alarms etc and YESTERDAY I realised that the app button on my homescreen shows the actualy time and not just a stylised picture of a clock!

I noticed it and thought "Oh its 4pm and its on 4pm...what a coincidence" in that way you do when the time is 12:34 or 12:21 or whatever. Nothing particularly interesting, you just notice it.

Then a couple of hours later it was showing ten past six....blew my mind!

Ten to two or 10:10 for clocks with hands. Looks ''smiley'' with the hands at this angle.

Yes, exactly that. I thought it was a picture of a clock. Like the calculator is a picture of a calculator.

It's an icon. Like all the hundred icons also on the phone. I click on it when I want to set my alarm, use a stopwatch or check what time it is where my children are travelling. Never noticed that the time actually changes on the icon. Now I know 😝
I'm more intrigued that, apparently, people use that tiny thing as a clock rather than the big arse time at the top of the phone screen 😂

Another one who hadn't noticed! On the Samsung it just looks like another icon.

But I did know that the clock things on various devices were actual clocks.

The spirit level is brilliant and we use it often. I’ve used the measuring thing a couple of times to get an estimate, so clever!

However my mind was blown when a friend showed me that if I leave the window open in my car after I get out, keeping the lock button on my key fob pressed makes the windows go up too! And she doesn't even own a car! I've owned mine for years and never knew.

The calculator on your PC/laptop changes too. You have to change the view but you get scientific, graphing etc.

I know the calendar shows the date (not Google calendar which always say 31).

I didn't know the clock icon hands actually move nether.
