to think that I really can't be the only person who hadnt noticed this?!

Years of owning a smartphone, years of using my clock app for timers, alarms etc and YESTERDAY I realised that the app button on my homescreen shows the actualy time and not just a stylised picture of a clock!

I noticed it and thought "Oh its 4pm and its on 4pm...what a coincidence" in that way you do when the time is 12:34 or 12:21 or whatever. Nothing particularly interesting, you just notice it.

Then a couple of hours later it was showing ten past six....blew my mind!

Mine doesn't. It always shows 10 past 10. I have a Huawei android if that's relevant.

Fun fact - most watches/clocks for sale/on display will show 10:10.

The measure app (iPhone) is useful too. I've used it many times both to measure things and as a spirit level.

I only noticed the clock showing the right time, about a year ago!!

I've an iPhone and I don't think the weather icon changes. It's currently showing sunny/cloudy even though it's nighttime.

Ohhh! That's exciting. I've just checked and mine does too. I've no idea how I've not noticed before. Is there a way to have the clock as a whole screen - does anyone know? Like a big watch? That would be cool.
I don't think my weather app icon changes.

I have a Samsung phone with I think the latest version of Android. I appear to have two clock apps. Neither have icons that display the correct time.

So maybe someone needs to clarify which clock app they are talking about.

Mines a Samsung with latest Android too. My mind is blown. Just the normal clock app.

Calender says 31 though.

I'm equally a dunderhead...I look at the small digital numbers at the top..not the little clock!
