At a swimming pool in my local area a few years ago, a man (or possibly two) had drilled holes in the changing cubicles and was caught filming through them. Its unclear how often he had done this. He ran out when confronted by a child's parent, past reception which had a huge glass front and drove off in his car. Remarkably, the cctv was found not to be working that day and no-one managed to get his registration number.

Then of course we have those who are only a woman a few days a week. Akd a man the rest. Should they be allowed access on woman days? What makes woman days different besides a dress from the man days?

I go to a well known clothes store which has one set of changing rooms. Space is limited to I understand why they are just changing rooms. But there are solid wooden doors so you can lock them & mirrors so you can do everything you need to in the room.

Unisex changing rooms need different design(s) to allow for safeguarding. Curtains are not secure.

Toilets must be unisex - there are no two ways about it.

I’m pesrsonally for unisex changing rooms and I’m most likely around the same age as her. We had unisex changing rooms where I used to work and there was no problem like this as you would have staff assist the customers into the room. You wouldn’t allow others to just wonder around in the changing room area there was seating outside of it.

Im sick of trans people having to suffer because of something this is clearly a male problem. It was 2 men that took it upon themselves to just walk in without any care while this girl was changing. When are they going to take some responsibility. All these complaints about unisex toilets/changing rooms whatever, are 90% just men taking advantage.

So how do you prevent that small proportion of men (who we can’t spot on appearance alone) from taking advantage? You keep them all out. It’s really not rocket science.

There needs to be a rule and also a sign saying if anyone walks in on someone else in the changing room you permanently get kicked out of the store. People would have more care in what they are doing.
